Jakarta Globe and Obama’s Imposition of Shut-Down Miseries

Since the USA has tons of good conservative blogs, it seemed sensible to leave it to them to cover the way Obama has been deliberately exploiting the crisis created by his obdurate refusal to compromise with Congress.

  • ruthless
  • There are many other examples of this president’s cold-hearted fanaticism and willingness to punish people for reasons that seem to have much more to with spite than what is and is not “essential.” In fact, there are a number of examples where Obama seems to be spending more money and using more resources to close and block and inconvenience than to just leave it alone. The media may or may not report on these individual occurrences, but what they will never do is provide the American people with the full context and scope of Obama’s shrill pettiness.  Below is a list of illogical, unnecessary, and shockingly spiteful moves our government is making in the name of essential and non-essential. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/10/05/list-obama-closures-for-shutdown

So you can check that link and see for yourselves the mean-spirited, needless targetting of particular public services in order to cause maximum distress to ordinary Americans. It’s been well-documented.

If you read it, you’ll find scarcely even a glimmering of Obama’s responsibility for the problem, although Americans who keep up ith the news are fully aware that Congress has offered, not once, but several times,  to pass different parts of departmental budgets – Obama won’t budge. He said so himself, as did his Senate hit-man, Harry Reid, who said Republicans would need to give in to demands if there is to be a resolution.http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/oct/8/obama-doesnt-back-down-keeps-pressure-boehner-gop/#ixzz2hHGjMGCs

That would be the same hit-man who hit the headlines with his callous indifference to the shut-down victims -

‘Why would we want to do that?': Harry Reid dismisses funding children’s cancer research separately from the rest of government

Reid’s words reflected his White House  master’s mentality perfectly.  Obama has ordered his Democrats not to give an inch, regardless of the cost in human suffering.  It’s the Republicans whose olive-branches are being spurned.

Yet the Jakarta Globe sees  fit to publish a piece of pap that touches on ‘congressional disapproval ratings,’ mentions the words ‘congress,’ ‘congressmen,’ or ‘congressional,’ about half a dozen times and even includes an anguished quote from one of the shut-down’s victims to the effect that “If Congress were trapped in a car that sunk down in a river, I would swim to the window, and I would look them all in the eye and say, ‘Suck water,’”

Yet…the man whose intransigence is at the root of it all?

  • obama-vampire-275x300
  • Not even a mention of Obama’s name until the last sentence.  And that refers only to his ‘landmark’ law, with no quote comparable to the ‘sinking car’ snarl from any of the Americans he’s enraged.

So here are a few more aspects of the situation for Jakarta Globe readers to ponder, since that nauseating newspaper has nailed its left-lib colours to the mast once more, a mockery of what media should be.

For the first time during one of many government shutdowns, the National Park Service has closed the monuments and memorials in its care. It even closed the WW1 to Honor Flight veterans who sacrificed far more for their country than anyone in this administration could imagine.

It also roped off the overlooks on parkways that were otherwise still open, for no apparent reason.

The government shuttered parks, beaches, historic sites, waterways and other facilities putatively owned by the public, regardless of the source of funding for those facilities. Never mind that these facilities are still patrolled by police that continue to be paid.

On the other hand, President Obama’s Camp David retreat and favorite golf courses remain open — at least for him. To make it absolutely clear that the closings are nothing more than political retribution against American voters, a pro-immigration rally was allowed to proceed Tuesday on the otherwise closed National Mall..

Is it not about time that the JG used material from both sides of the US political spectrum, instead of spewing out gunk that mirrors the pink prejudices of its editors again and again?.
