C’mon, Pope, Open Your Mouth on THIS Execution!

The self-styled Islamic Republic of Iran has sentenced to death by hanging a Christian pastor, born to Muslims parents, for apostasy.

At the time of writing, Youcef Nadarkhani, head of a network of Christian house churches in Iran, is on death row for refusing to recant and convert back to Islam. http://www.smh.com.au/world/shameful-silence-over-executions-20111001-1l2z8.html#ixzz1ZmemQ2RH

That Sydney Morning Herald report 2/10/11 (to be fair, written by a Muslim) is spot on as far as it goes, but missed the fact that Iran suddenly changed the pastor’s crime from exercising religious liberty to RAPE!  But…

In a translated Iranian Supreme Court brief from 2010, however, the charge of apostasy is the only charge leveled against Nadarkhani. “Mr. Youcef Nadarkhani, son of Byrom, 32-years old, married, born in Rasht in the state of Gilan is convicted of turning his back on Islam, the greatest religion the prophesy of Mohammad at the age of 19,” reads the brief. Miserable Islamist swine don’t even have the guts to admit they are killing him for his faith.

And what are we to make of the Pope, who lodged a whine about the recent execution of that undoubtedly guilty murderer Troy Davis in the USA, yet, according to FrontPage magazine, 30/9 ‘ The Vatican is an internationally recognized sovereign state with full diplomatic status. The Holy See has a legal personality under international law, giving it recognition as a sovereign state, which allows it to enter into treaties and to send and receive diplomatic representation. Knowing the Vatican has these powers, why hasn’t it spoken up on behalf of the Christian minister?’

Good question! Anybody got an answer?’
