Turdeau on Terrorism
In one nauseating outburst, exemplifying the sick left-lib mind-set, Justin Turdeau is exposed as the true son of the foul father, and I have no need to add anything, as Stephen Harper sums up the natural disgust we all feel for the new leader of Canada’s Liberal Party.
=============
Trudeau, on Monday, only hours after the bombing:
“We have to look at the root causes. Now, we don’t know now if it was terrorism or a single crazy or a domestic issue or a foreign issue. But there is no question that this happened because there is someone who feels completely excluded . Completely at war with innocents. At war with a society. And our approach has to be, okay, where do those tensions come from?”
==============
Harper about Trudeau’s comments:
“When you see this type of violent act, you do not sit around trying to rationalize it or make excuses for it or figure out its root causes. You condemn it categorically, and to the extent you can deal with the perpetrators, you deal with them as harshly as possible.”

JUSTIN TURDEAU – someone who SHOULD feel completely excluded – from respectable poltical life!!

First and foremost, we want to reduce the probability of attacks like this recurring. The question is how.
Harper has part of the answer: harsh punishments do something to deter potential future attackers but they do not prevent such attacks.
So let’s consider Trudeau’s remarks in that context. Can they lead us to find an additional approach which might further reduce the probability, beyond the reduction achieved by Harper’s method? Maybe there is something in that line of thinking, not instead of punishment but in addition to it.
The point is, “Know thine enemy”. Without giving some thought to the question of why some people think along the lines of such attackers, you lack that string to your bow. If a better level of understanding reached by pursuing such questions can lead to a further reduction in the probability/frequency of such incidents, why should the questions not be asked?

I take your point, Joe, but…
This Liberal has a dark record of involvement with subversive outfits. (see our post a few days ago, Turdistan Rising, a good link to an Ottawa news article there about him)
There’s a world of difference between carrying out intelligence and counter-terr ops and the sort of ‘excuse-seeking’ nonsense beloved by the left-libs, you know the routine, oh, they’re down-trodden, unemployed, mean parents,denied opportunitIes, etc, (like millionaire Bin Laden!)
It’s the same sort of guff we hear in court social worker reports on thugs and rapisrs, he never had much of a childhood, hard to find work, yayayayatter.
AS IF ONE’S BACKGROUND EXCULPATES ONE FROM RESPONSIBILITY.
We know why terrorists do their thing. It’s a hate-mission, against the West, against democracy, against us.
Why? Because they are evil enemies. They do have an alternative to offer, antithetical to all that’s good and pleasant.
They need a lenghth of rope, not understanding.

I agree with you both, and I don’t think there is that big a gap in your opinions.
But the gap bewteen Harper and Trudeau is huge.
Trudeau is a typical leftwinger, who believes (if he believes anything) that terrorists asnd subversives only need a little tender loving care and a handout then they will grab hold of our hands and be our friends for life.
That’s why they are so soft on immigration and let anybody in. Boston this week is suffering the consequences.
It beats ne how the left can be so gullible.
