Islamist ‘Scholars’ – “Never Mention God in the Toilet!”

It seems the ‘ringtone’ industry has been providing such musical delights for local afficionados of Islamic verses, but no, that’s forbidden too!

…not all Islamic features are considered correct as applications..

One is ringtone verses of the Holy Quran.

According to the Deputy Secretary General of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Tengku Zulkarnain, such things are prohibited.

“Ringtone verses of the holy Koran are forbidden,” he said on Sunday (14/7).

Why? Because the phone can ring anywhere. Thus, the owner could have been carrying a mobile phone in his pocket when he was in the toilet.

“It could be ringing when taken to the toilet.” He said it is clear law that the verses of the Holy Quran, as also God’s name, should not be mentioned in the toilet…

Moreover, it is feared the ringtone plays Qur’an verses but not in full…cut off because their owners pick up the phone.

“So one incomplete sentence is heard,” he said.
