Beyond Rational, That’s Beyonce! Double-Standards on View

Beyonce is a beauty, in my opinion, so I am always happy to have an excuse to post her picture, but her brain seems a trifle addled.

I’m also a fan of her singing and dancing, though I can’t say the same for her husband’s. His name is Jay Z ( so I suppose we should call her Mrs. Z) and he’s a rapper.

Rap, hip-hop, etc., stuff like that isn’t even music in my book (not because it’s ‘black’ – I quite like some reggae and I LOVE Motown music  here’s one of my faves  http://vimeo.com/24706618)

But I’m not posting tonight as a music critic but as a student of left-lib double standards.

The crowd erupted in cheers when the celebrity couple turned up. “No concerts in Florida!” some chanted, a reference to Stevie Wonder’s pledge to boycott states with Stand Your Ground lethal force laws.

Wonder, of course, is also a great singer, but a crass idiot, who has aligned himself with the anti-Israel lobby, justifying his boycott of an event run by the Friends of the Israel Defence Force with the following fatuous statement –

Given the current and very delicate situation in the Middle East, and with a heart that has always cried out for world unity, I will not be performing at the FIDF Gala …. I am and have always been against war, any war, anywhere.

Including no doubt, WW2 and, since he includes ANY war, the American Civil War, which had something to do with civil rights for blacks, I seem to recall.

And now he’s going to boycott the majority of his fellow-citizens? That won’t last, methinks.

There are no speeches mentioned from either Mr. or Mrs. Z, but one assumes their presence had something to do with justice or injustice or some variation thereon, related to race.

Did they protest about all the black political prisoners held in communist dungeons, subjected to racist abuse by Castro’s torturers?

————-Were they even aware of those prisoners, in a country where the state hero is still Che “The Negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolities and drink, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent” Guevara?
Did either of the Zs even utter a whisper of concern, before, during or after their fun outing to the despotism, for ALL the Cuban people, black, white or brown, NONE of whom have access to justice of any sort?

No.

So is Beautiful Beyonce ignorant, uncaring or a hypocrite?
