Nor should any government be, otherwise civilised nations might just as well dismantle border contorls and hand over the keys to Amnesty International, with a scrawled note to say the entire populations of Third World slums are henceforth free to lie their way into the welfare trough.

That cornucopeia will,of course, dry up, once hard-working Aussies are outnumbered by bludgers. But hey, make hay while the sun shines, yeah?

ABC does not tell us if the Green Gargoyle Sarah Hanson-Young is among the ten ‘attempted suicides,’  but evidently not, as she is quoted elsewhere in rampant whine-mode.

However, the point to note is that none of the ten was actually serious enough to succeed in their melodramatic stunt. 

God forbid I be accused of sexism. There’s proof aplenty the male bludgers are as bad as the females!

  • It has long been clear that the percentage of bare-faced lying frauds is much higher among so-called ‘asylum’ seekers  than almost any other group of people in the known universe.  

Having said that, lying is a skill that requires a certain degree of expertise – otherwise nobody believes you, except perhaps some of the numbskulls on the immigration review panels.  

However, serious liars need to be consistent.
