Taking Out Terrorism – Indonesia’s Densus 88 Doing A Fine Job!

Densus-88

00000000000000000

All kinds of news coming in from all over Indonesia, about action against the evil ISIS murder gang’s local supporters, with Densus 88 doing a grand job.

I do criticise police if they seem dilatory, but these Densus guys deserve praise indeed, if the Jakarta Post report yesterday was accurate.

No less than seven arrests in Surabaya, East Java and Banyumas, Central Java, with one target shot dead!

Good work!

But one curious aspect, which, annoyingly, the JP doesn’t explain.

The National Police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism squad on Thursday arrested a suspected terrorist and ISIL recruiter identified as Saefuddin Umar in Surabaya, East Java. Saefuddin, also known as Abu Fida, allegedly harbored some members of the East Mujahidin Indonesia terrorist cell led by fugitive Santoso and had knowledge about the group’s suicide bomb attack of the Poso Police complex last year.

So far, so good!

But then we have our old friend, Brigadier Boy,  the National Police spokesman, telling us that ths Saefuddin “harbored terrorist fugitive M. Hidayah, alias Dayah, in 2002.”

  • Boy-Rafli Boy
  • And more!

It is not the first time the police suspected Saefuddin’s involvement in terrorism. Back in 2004 Saefuddin was taken into police custody for allegedly harboring the late Dr. Azahari bin Husin and Noordin M. Top in 2002. The two were believed to have masterminded the 2002 Bali bombings and the 2003 JW Marriot hotel attack in Jakarta. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2014/08/16/suspected-terrorist-shot-dead-several-arrested.html

So how come the cell was not locked and the key thrown away? Or better still, why no firing squad?

If terrorists were put down like the rabid curs they are, we’d not have so many problems. .
