That’s Good, President Jokowi – Now For Transito?
One of the things I always liked about Jokowi, when he was Governor of Jakarta, was how he’d not pussyfoot around when people needed help and bureaucrats were being their slothful selves.
Idle Slugs Caught Out Again? Go, Jokowi, Go!

So it’s nice to note he’s doing the same sort of thing with regard to the people in North Sumatra, who have waited a year for re-location after the Mount Sinabung volcano’s eruption.
“I have just called the minister. I told her to solve the permit problem in two days,” he told reporters after visiting a number of evacuation centers in Kabanjahe, Karo.
Great stuff. And cream on the cake to read on and see that the President handed to each family aid in the form of Rp 500,000 in cash, plus a package of staple foods. The evacuees would also receive Smart Cards, family welfare cards and Healthy Indonesia cards.

“In two weeks the three cards will be delivered to all the evacuees. If any of them do not receive one, please text me,” said Jokowi while sharing his cell phone number with the evacuees. http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2014/10/30/jokowi-wants-relocation-evacuees-accelerated.html
Well, you can’t say fairer than that.

Now, how about the people in that crummy shelter in Mataram, who have languished there for what, seven years?
I refer to the Lombok Ahmadis, refugees in their own country, thanks to evil sectarian hoodlums who drove them from their little houses on an island off Lombok, while cowardly ( or complicit?) cops looked on and let it happen.

Lombok ethnic cleansing, watched over by the police

Can we expect to see the President down there next week?
Will he hand out needful things, and tell those craven cops to provide the Ahmadis with an escort home, with orders to subdue any primitives who menace these innocents?
Will there be further orders to mount permanent guard, to prevent a repetition of the outrage which shamed Indonesia across the world?
We wait patiently for justice to be done.
