Amid the controversy over the outcome of the Miss Universe contest this month Miss Costa Rica sparks new Miss Universe controversy, too much attention, in my view, has gone to the peculiar organisation of the final and not enough to the fact that the beautiful Anindya Kusuma Putri, from Central Java, got into the final fifteen list.

In an archipelago teeming with lovely lasses (especially in Central Java!) just getting to be Miss Indonesia is a splendid achievement.
