Suara Hati – till 29th July, Jakarta

Almost 300.000 cases of violence against women take place every year in Indonesia. Violence against women is understood as all forms of gender based violence that results in misery or psychological and physical suffering. It’s a global pandemic.
Suara Hati combines music, photography and ethnic dance to stop violence against women through the mediation of art.

The Suara Hati photo exhibition about domestic violence is on show now in the Erasmus Huis. A number of renowned Indonesian women like actresses, anchorwomen and business women posed for the camera as victims of domestic violence.
