The United Nations, as we have noted often enough, is a cauldron of hypocrisy, its blind eye to the cultural genocide in Tibet, its whining about ‘rights’ whilst failing to condemn shariah, its readiness to give equal status to tyrannies like Saudi Arabia and North Korea and Iran as if they merit equivalence with civilised democracies…

It’s not likely the UN will give up its habit of gross intrusion into the internal affairs of democracies.

But it IS to be hoped that the people of those countries whose champions have been scolded, so condescendingly, by that uppity Arab will rally to the only parties prepared to stand up to supranational sticky-beaks.
