- But never fear – he assures everyone in Jakarta that it’s going to be a ‘peaceful protest!’
- Once again the risible description ‘Long March’ is being bandied about, when in fact the route, from Istiqlal Mosque to President Jokowi’s Palace, is what most able-bodied folks would call a pleasant afternoon stroll.
- But inaccurate description of its length is not what ought to concern us. It’s exactly how that ‘peaceful’ prediction is likely to pan out.

I am only just home and was talking before with some friends about this.
You said last week the police should make them march on the weekend but they wont have that, they want their marchers stirred up by the Friday preaching..
I agree with you, Ross, we should all be very careful if thousands of these jihadists are flooding the streets on Friday,
Maybe it wont be as many as half a million but even so there will be a lot
The bad news is the announcement in advance that the cops on duty along the way will not be carrying guns.
This is asking for trouble because these people have no respect for the law unless it happens to be the shariah and the FPI said that shariah gives them license to kill.Ahok and I suppose that means anyone who gets in the way..
I wonder just how bad it will be. One thing, I dont think getting home from work will be easy.
