If A Predator’s House Goes On Fire…
Can you imagine any town or city council taking a ‘principled moral stand,’ arguing that they should not report rapists or child-molestors in their communities to the authorities…
…because such a municipal cover-up ensures rapists and child-molestors can call police or fire crews for help without fear of being detained.
Horrendous, yes? One would hope such scummy, squalid councillors would be tarred and feathered and run out of town.
Happily, it hasn’t happened, yet.
But something very similar nearly happened, in an obscure municipality called Forest Grove, in Oregon.
There, a plan to provide exactly such protection, not to sex-predators but to illegal aliens, failed to pass.
But only after the councillors tied, 3 to 3, on a so-called ‘sanctuary city’ resolution..
…defining “sanctuary city” as one that is safe for residents, regardless of their immigration status, one that ensures undocumented immigrants can call police or fire crews for help without fear of being deported.
It would be nice to congratulate the three who voted against this disgusting treason scheme…
…, but if you read the full story, you’ll see that at least one of the dissenters only dissented because he feared consequent economic sanctions!
…Forest Grove can’t risk losing any federal money. Other vulnerable residents depend on the dollars, he said.
Forest Grove will receive about $4 million in federal aid this year. The city is expecting $325,000 for a senior center kitchen remodel, $240,000 for sewer work and $3.6 million for road improvements.
NO traitor town should get a red cent, never mind millions of tax dollars, if they aid and abet lawless aliens.
Under Obama, they were free to do so and still keep their dirty snouts in the tax-trough.
HOWEVER…thanks to President Trump, any such federal subventions will soon be withheld.
Executive Orders are said to be ready for the Presidential signature.
Another Trump action will eliminate “sanctuary cities” — cities that do not deport undocumented immigrants despite federal law — while also increasing resources for Immigration and Custom Enforcement and directing the federal government to identify criminal undocumented immigrants living in the United States, the source said.
