The thing about true nationalism is that it’s not selfish.

When I was still a teen – some time ago! – I heard a speech which hammered home that reality, pointing out that because parents loved their own children best of all, that did not for a moment mean they disliked other people’s!

Similarly real British patriots respect other people’s patriotism too.

Even so, of course, some of them can be neglectful of far-away issues that don’t impinge on their daily lives.

But that’s no longer an option.

…French officials have long blamed the deal for fuelling huge populations at the notorious Jungle camp in Calais, where thousands of migrants travelled in the hope of reaching Britain.

Britain does have some level of responsibility, because of the ridiculous benefits bestown on ‘asylum’ undesirables in the UK, and because Theresa May as Home Secretary didn’t kick those parasites out.

BUT…

Any French official who blames ‘the deal’ for the Calais curs must be politically myopic.

Those ‘thousands’ are in France illegally.

If Hollande had had any cojones at all, he’d  not have imposed them brutally on French small towns…In France Today, Democracy’s ‘A Threat To Public Order!’ …but have interned them for prompt deportation.

Were it anyone but Muppet guilty of this new declaration of intended breach of faith, one might forego condemnation, for it’s a foul mess that Hollande has left for any successor.

But Muppet is a pro-crimmigrant fanatic, as eager to ruin other civilised countries as his own.

But IF (admittedly a big IF !) treacherous Theresa has any intention at all of negotiating a clean-break Brexit with Brussels, May should rejoice in the prospect of another freedom-fighter raising hell in the EuroCommissars’ corridors of power.
