Guardian Hands Europhiliac Ex-Con A Megaphone!
Denis McShane is a despicable man.
I don’t say that because he writes for the Guardian, nor even for the rot he included in his most recent scribblings in that far-left newspaper.
Three reasons remainers should stop calling for a second referendum on Brexit

Nor do I say that because he was sentenced to prison under the Theft Act…

…though I do wonder why he only served six weeks of a six month sentence.
McShane is despicable because he was the Labour MP for Rotherham, who, after the grooming gang scandal broke, admitted that he had been aware of what he saw as the problems of cousin marriage and the oppression of women within parts of the Muslim community in Britain, but:

“Perhaps yes, as a true Guardian reader, and liberal leftie, I suppose I didn’t want to raise that too hard. I think there was a culture of not wanting to rock the multicultural community boat if I may put it like that.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11063885/Rotherham-and-the-toxic-legacy-of-multiculturalism.html

Rotherham’s Rats Rousted Out – But the Root of the Matter?

The author of that Telegraph article suggested that some might think it an attempt at a self-deprecating joke, and not a particularly funny one. MacShane was never a funny man and since he was detained at Her Majesty’s pleasure he has found even less to laugh about.
Indeed.
But this callous indifference, ideologically driven, towards his constituents in Rotherham then…

…towards iniquities suffered by women whom he was elected to Westminster to represent, comes shining through in his Guardian article last week, urging that the people’s decision be overturned, that at some stage the House of Commons can move away from the current veneration of a referendum result…=
BTW, does the Guardian not have enough Remoaners without criminal records, that it has to dredge the swamp and bring in this sleazy specimen?

It’s surely curious that when you tap on his name as their scribbler, they make no mention of his disgrace and imprisonment.
All you learn of him is this –
• Denis MacShane is the former minister for Europe and author of Brexit, No Exit: Why (in the End) Britain Won’t Leave Europe
Is he a big pal of the Guardian editor? McShane’s article is misleadingly headlined!
For he is NOT arguing against a second referendum, but rather that it not be now, for fear, he admits, that an early second referendum without proper planning and preparation could end up with the worst of all worlds for the anti-isolationist camp – namely, a confirmation of the June 2016 result.
The rest of his article is near unreadable, but the link is somewhere near the top of my page, if you are consumed with political masochism today.
