So says Rory Broomfield, of TFA, and his exhortation arises from Hammond”s deliberate attempt to undermine Britain’s bargaining position in the current talks.

The Chancellor has caused outrage this morning as he all but admitted that the Treasury is helping to ensure that the UK will be ill prepared for a no deal. Writing in The Times….

….Philip Hammond suggested as much with an admission that he will not allow spending to go ahead now on preparing for a ‘no deal’ scenario and, as a result, planning for this will only get underway at ‘the very last moment’. 

This is absolutely unacceptable and is a dangerous ploy to get the UK to accept any deal – no matter how bad – because it is underprepared for ‘no deal’.
