Drooling Pigs – ‘Moral Vigilantes’ Arrested In Tangerang!
While it’s still International Day to Stop Violence Against Women, I have to mention four sleazy scumbags.
Four people suspected of making a couple strip naked and forcing them to march on the streets have been arrested in the Tangerang Regency of Indonesia.
This kind of thing is nothing new. I remember being shocked when I read a similar report back in 1999, when I was still new to Indonesia.
In those days, technology was not as advanced as 2017, so only photographs were taken.
Now what is ludicrously described as an act of ‘moral vigilantism’ which took place on Saturday (11 November) was filmed and the video went viral.
=
======
The unwed couple were accused by locals of performing an unspecified “immoral act” inside a home in a village.
According to Tangerang Regency police chief Sabilul Alif, the couple were pushed into the street by the vigilantes who rebuked them for being “indecent.”
‘moral vigilantism?’
INDECENT?
Let’s be frank.
The four perpetrators are devoid of anything that might resemble decency or morality in the minds of normal human beings.
At the beginning of the video, the woman can be seen wearing a T-shirt but the men soon strip her completely naked despite her pleas.
This despicable situation lasted for an hour.
The woman was beaten too, as was her fiancee – yes, they were engaged to be married, and according to the report they were not even performing any “immoral acts.”
The guy had just brought his girl a take-away meal and the scum burst in on them.

Unfortunately, even if convicted, the quartet of pigs are unlikely to get more than four years, for assault, though if the injuries suffered by their victims are serious, that could be nine years.
A fine old-fashioned shariah flogging, thrice-daily for 4 – or better still 9 – years…
=
Alas, shariah floggings in Indonesia are administered not for real crimes but for trivial nonsense offences like playing cards for pennies, or holding hands with your beloved!
=
…there’s a more appealing prospect, bringing the warthogs out from their prison cells so the public can cheer the flogger.
But the tail-end of the report is more than disturbing, the reminder that in January, two consenting adulterers in Tangerang were forced to march in public, but those responsible were not charged with any crime.
=
And a similar desecration of justice occurred elsewhere, in August – again, no charges brought against the scabrous brutes who had a couple paraded through the streets in rural Indonesia.. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/indonesian-couple-stripped-naked-beaten-paraded-1647186
Yet the man thus bullied was charged with adultery!

OK, we can say that such displays of a moronic mind-set are confined to uneducated ignoramuses.
But where do they get this sicko mentality from.
It’s obviously to do with having a dirty mind and a zeal for humiliating women and for making the most of an opportunity to be voyeurs, grubby adolescent panting at a chance to see a woman’s private parts.
But who passed the laws that allow people to be ‘charged with adultery.’
Who arrogates to themselves the right to decree what constitutes the proper penalty for adultery?
I suppose we should just be glad it’s not those benighted ‘scholars’ who are forever yapping about their prescribed remedies for everything that goes wrong, or even just goes on, rightly or wrongly.
The fanatic Islamists of the state-funded Indonesian Council of ‘Scholars’ -the MUI would make life even more unpleasant if they had their way.
Get a load of this geezer!

Syamsul Maarif, General Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Jakarta
“If the act of adultery is by a married person, then stoning is the sentence, while if unmarried, then it’s whipping,” he said.

One hopes and prays that ‘scholars’ like Syamsul Ma’arif, NEVER get close to governing Indonesia.
PS
Actually, they are very close indeed.

They are pathetic and I wouldn’t even call them animals but you make the most important point about this when you describe those Islamist ‘scholars.’
They talk that rubbish and still get funded by the government? Does the government take their advice on anything important?
I wonder how long you can hang on there writing the good things you write. It sounds to me like Indonesia is in real danger of going down the Iran road.

If these morons are taught shariah law from childhood then it’s only natural that they have no respect for women, who under shariah law, are second class human being, forced into head-coverings while the men aren’t, and allowed to marry only one husband while the men can enjoy up to four wives. There’s the unjust inheritance laws too. All bad.
Second class people get second class treatment, and from what I have read, those scholars ( are genuinely educated in anything worth studying?) are very influential.
It was their extremist agitation that forced the government to issue the discriminatory laws against the Ahmadiyya Muslims, wasn’t it?
Stoning? Whipping? In 2017?
Great, if it’s done to the four droolers your story is about.

Always happy to see you giving attention to Indonesia. Tangerang is just across the Jakarta city boundary and it isnt nice to think this kind of thing is going on around the corner from where we live but as you say it isnt anything new.
MUI never get any better. Nothing they say or do would shock me anymore.
