It’s not just a question of keeping the noise down.

In Bali, they even shut the airport so as to comply with the rule of absolute silence across the Isle of the Gods. It’s only for a day, so no big imposition on non-Hindus!

No worries here in Jakarta. Saturday is usually a low-key day for me. I go out on the town sufficiently during the week, so other than talking to any visitor who may drop by, there not a lot of noise under my roof.
