Porn-Flix! Why Do Media Call Them ‘Adult Movies?’

As usual, I had the tv on in the background whilst sunbathing in my front yard awaiting for today’s guest ot drop by, when I heard one of France24’s female newscasters describe that incipiently middle-aged American publicity-seeker as an ‘adult movie’ star.

One expects that sort of crass euphemism from CNN’s queers, desperately doing down The Donald, and clearly NBC whose link I show above. But Fox too has described her works of art thus!

It strikes me as an all-too-common phenomenon, and really rather offensive to all genuine adults.

…a porn film basically requires little or no brain-usage  on the part of those who watch it. That’s not being prudish, simply recognising reality. Kids in their early teens are often collectors of porn, precisely because they are immature.

Normal adult males enjoy seeing girls in bikinis or miniskirts or – in Jakarta at least…

…the dancers (invariably called the ‘sexy dancers,’ whether or not they are sexy!) who jump about on the bar while we’re having a beer or ten with our pals.

Men who watch porno films? That suggests they are mentally still in their early teens.

Which brings me back to the subversion of the English language.

How come so much of the media is trying to dumb down their audience by categorising that sad woman as an ‘adult movie’ star.
