Jakarta Globe Hands Unrepentant Red A Megaphone!
Some Indonesian readers may be aware that Federica ‘Red Fed’ Mogherini has never publicly repented her communist allegiance, nor shown much sign of regretting her buddy-buddy relationship with PLO terrorist Yasser Arafat.

Her debut in politics began thirty years ago, when she signed up with the Communist Youth Federation.
Try as I might, I have never found a single word of repentance for her deliberate affiliation to the most evil ideology in history.

Her record of failing abysmally to condemn the vilest tyrannies, both Communist and Islamist, has continued with no significant interruption ever since.
If Federica Mogherini didn’t exist, the world’s autocrats would be trying to invent her….In Mogherini’s world, diplomacy with dictators should not aim to transition these countries to open societies, but rather to prevent conflicts at all costs.
That’s not me, but a writer in the rather liberal Bloomberg site, earlier this year.
But he’s honest, and fact-based, first on her little trip to the worst dictatorship in Latin America.

Did Mogherini use her visit to call attention to the struggle of human rights activists or to comfort the families of political prisoners?

“I know very well that right now some are trying to isolate Cuba. We Europeans want to show, on the contrary, that we are closer to you than ever,” she said in a speech at Cuba’s San Geronimo College.
Nor has she shown the slightest sympathy with the millions in Iran tormented by the ayatollahs’ police state.

“In the spirit of openness and respect that is at the root of our relationship,” she said, “we expect all concerned to refrain from violence and to guarantee freedom of expression.”
It’s as if Mogherini believes that Iranian demonstrators are arresting and silencing members of the state Basij militia, and not the other way around.
None of those important aspects of her CV got a mention in the Jakarta Globe on Monday, which featured a chunk of verbal diarrhoea allegedly penned by Red Fed.

You must be the only one left in Jakarta Ross. I left town this morning, no traffic.
That Mogherini hand-out must have been circulated free to all the media. It fills a space that the Globe had nothing else to fill. Nobody would really pay for it, would they?

I did not even know her name.
She is not famous here in Indonesia.
Now I know somethings about her and I do not think I like her much.
