Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street vendor, told the court: “I beheaded one of them… I regret it.”

They could face the death penalty if found guilty.

Morocco has had a moratorium on executions since 1993, but death sentences are still occasionally handed down.

Expect no better from those governments who won’t dare stand up to Brussels.
All we ( and Danes and Norwegians) can do is what you have suggested in the past.
It might be futile but it is far better than doing nothing to contradict the EU line.
Email the Moroccan Government and tell them that the death penalty is the only penalty for anyone convicted of these horrible crimes.
