‘The Cowardly, The Careerists, The Vigilantes, The Commissars’ – O Canada!
If you’re in need of a short lunchtime/ teatime read, I happily recommend this article by David Solway, in PJ Media.

It’s far too detailed in its indictment of a once reputable university in Manitoba for me to summarise usefully, but its revelations about the wilful politically-motivated suppression of uncomfortable truths – specifically, censorship of dissenting views among the Cree Indians on their history – are shockingly hard to read calmly…

….as indeed is the experience of the honest professor who worked so hard to record those views.
How Canada can ever progress ( and as the article makes clear, it’s not a subversion of educational values in Manitoba alone ) while its colleges are infested with ‘the dregs – the cowardly, the careerists, the vigilantes and the commissars’- is a question that one shudders to ask.
The only consolation, and it’s no consolation at all, is that American, British and Australian institutions of higher education are similarly toxic, cess-pools teeming with left bigots and their running-dogs.

Incidentally, I was watching a talk-show on ABC on Friday last week on which none of the guests was notably conservative.
Typical ABC, you knowingly nod…

While the other panellists behaved like normal people, smiling and cracking the odd joke, she glowered throughout, interjecting dour, mean-spirited comments.
Grumpy did at one point seem to get a little more animated, when she recounted the ‘abysmal ignorance’ about Aborigines expressed by some poor woman she’d met.
But what seemed to nettle her more than ignorance about her race was that the woman apparently asked her if the professorship she held was open to everyone or was it a job only offered, on a racially discriminatory basis, to ‘indigenous’ applicants.
Funnily enough, no answer was forthcoming on the show last week.
Do any Oz readers know the answer?
Was the professorial position advertised with a ‘no whites need apply’ condition attached?
