…denied a fair chance to present his (Christian!) party’s case.

Another minor party, whose candidate is a former full-time politican, gets the go-ahead from Black, a disgusting canonical grovel to ‘big name’ politics.

In my opinion, that contemptible Canon would benefit greatly from being immured in a little room, and fed through a hole in the wall, to focus his self-righteous mind-set, until he begs forgiveness for his arrogant dismissal of fair play as a fundamental principle of democratic elections.

But he’s just one insect in a swarm.

The Church of England deserves to be disestablished.

That Canon Black is iniquitous, which means unfair.
Isn’t there a Bible verse condemning those who ‘rejoiceth in iniquity?’

I expected you to deliver a rousing pro-Brexit Party message but you took us by surprise with this.
Well done, to take up the cudgels for the little party’s candidate whom that ‘holy man’ has cheated of a fair hearing.
The Church of England is decomposing and it stinks.

Quite a few voters will still support the other two pro-Brexit candidates, and I would think some contrary people may give their votes to that Christian party man just because the arbitrary canon was so unfair to him.
So it possibly is wise to be cautious about cheering on Nigel Farage’s party and although I desperately want Brexit to happen, there are Farage candidates I would never vote for, like that communist IRA sympathiser.

When I had an interest in local politics, it was quite common for the local vicar to be asked to chair all-party candidate meetings before elections. Everybody trusted them to be fair.
It’s no longer the same, at least in Peterborough.
I like your idea of suitable penance..
They used to do that to nuns who broke their vows, wall them up. Immured, was the word used, to put them to shame. Sometimes they never let them out!
I have no notion of what vows that Canon Black ever took but he’s a disgrace to his church, treating people like that.
Then as you say, his church is a disgrace too, if we’re talking about the Church of England.

Your choice of topic on byelection day interests me.
Does it mean you have doubts about Brexit Party’s chances?
There has been so much counting of chickens that I share the doubts I think you may have.
