‘Pride In Polish Glory Is A Warning To Us All!’ – Leftist Whiner

Few people who know anything about the history of modern Poland would disagree that Poles have shown immense valour and were abominably betrayed.

In 1939 two powerful despotisms colluded to destroy the country’s freedom.

For forty years thereafter their land was under foreign control, firstly German military rule, then by a quisling cabal serving the Soviets.

The 1945 betrayal is fact.

The Western Allies could have stopped the Communist take-over but didn’t.

If any nation is entitled to remember their history of courage and sacrifice, it’s Poland.

Yet when the Polish Government seeks to ensure those years are properly remembered, it’s just that ‘Poland’s past is again being manipulated for political motives, this time at a museum in Gdańsk.’

Yes, it has to be The Guardian that gives a whining leftist space to rant about the Museum of the Second World War.

PS – I have written perhaps at too great length on this, and have written about the museum controversy before…

Sorry, Macron’s Pravda, But Poland WAS ‘First To Fight!’

…but no apologies.

I like Poland, had a nice time there, and got on well with exiled Poles and their offspring in the British city I went to school in.

This woman’s rant provoked me, and it’s only  towards the end that her true motivation steps up, when she snarls at the patriot government in Warsaw, it’s “countless acts of democratic backsliding…” by which presumably she means efforts to replace Communist-era judges with better men and women, which so enraged the Brussels Empire…

…and the excellent work done cleaning out left-liberal parasites from public broadcasting, which also vexed Juncker and Merkel and their Brussels comrades.

The ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) wants to “bring back public media to the Poles,” said PiS MP Elzbieta Kruk during the debate at the Sejm, Poland’s lower house.

‘Ideologies and political orientations’

Kruk, herself a former chair of the National Broadcasting Council, said that public media “falsely presented as public opinion” ideologies and political orientations that were not supported by the majority of voters….

“The ethos rooted in Christianity and Polish traditions of freedom and independence is marginalised or discredited, while an ideological and moral fashion unacceptable to the majority of the population is ennobled,” she said.  https://euobserver.com/political/131689

That patriot government is facing an election next month.

School-marm Flieger doesn’t say who she’s voting for but I suspect it’ll be the Europhiliac clique led by Turncoat Tusk.
