Well Said, Tom Hunt MP! Keep ‘Em Locked Up!


I had never head of Tom Hunt, who is the MP for Ipswich, but he seems to differ from some other Tory MPs, in that he wants to make prisoners serve the time they were sentenced to.

But is it not appalling that he and some like-minded back-benchers had to threaten a parliamentary rebellion to thwart a hare-brained government plan which ‘would have seen offenders in England and Wales who met certain criteria – such as those serving sentences of less than four years – eligible for release 180 days early..’

That crack-pot ‘Home Detention Curfew’ scheme would have turned loose FIVE HUNDRED convicts no less than SIX months ahead of their correct date of release!

So did Priti the Pretend-Hard-Line Home Secretary approve the sappy scheme?

Did Johnson?

Nothing in that media report to tell us, but neither of those fake-populists have done much to promote law and order recently…

…quite the contrary, as we have noted in their arrant failure to kick out the crimmigrants who’ve been swarming onto British beaches.

Mr. Hunt may not have been the only reason the nitwit scheme was pulled at short notice, but nevertheless, good on him, when he says –

 “I promised when I was standing for election that I would push in parliament for tougher sentencing if elected.

“My view is that it’s very important that there is greater public confidence in the justice system and that will only happen if justice is done and seen to be done.

“Unfortunately the situation is made more difficult when so many judges appear to be out of touch with public opinion as we’ve seen recently with the Kyreis Davies case.

“I very much hope this is the end of this particular piece of legislation.”

NOW what’s needed is a serious push to bring back the death penalty!
