Nasdaq Nonsense! Hands Off Women!

What exactly is Nasdaq?

We read about it and hear about it, but like you, most of you, anyway, I had, until today, no idea what the name actually meant.

.

.

However, some bizarre news this morning drove me to investigate the meaning and from Investopedia, here it is.

Two meanings, to be precise!

….first, it is the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations exchange, the first electronic exchange that allowed investors to buy and sell stock on a computerized, speedy, and transparent system..

Secondly.

….an index. When you hear people say that the “the Nasdaq is up today,” they are referring to the Nasdaq Composite Index, which, like the DJIA, is a statistical measure of a portion of the stock market. https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/difference-between-dow-and-nasdaq/

There you go.

No matter if we’re talking about the first or the second meaning, the common key aspect is accuracy and reliability.

.

.

People dealing in stocks, shares, anything involving their money, want to be sure that Nasdaq can be trusted to present ‘the facts, ma’am, just the facts!

But now?

The hell with facts.

Facts are what somebody says is a fact, even if it’s a lie.

Nasdaq has moved to erase the reality of biological women in its quest to increase diversity in its thousands of listed companies, requiring them to include a director who only “self-identifies as female….”

.

In other words, if some male plonker wakes up one morning, with exactly the same physical equipment between his legs as was there the night before…

.

.

…and decides he’s a ‘she,’ then so be it?

Only a day or so ago, we briefly discussed the folly of pandering to maladjusted persons…

….instead of seeing to it that their mental health problems are addressed and remedied.

.

Now we have to note that a major financial institution bastardising the English language..

..

.

….making a mockery of not just women’s aspirations but the very concept of womanhood,  by ‘requiring’ all manner of companies to include as a director, a ‘woman’ who in fact may not be a ‘woman’ at all but a sad, freaky faker.
