Good News From Greenwich? Yes, But..
Since we have often lambasted Jellyfish Johnson’s government for failing to step in and sort out pinko creeps…

…who have got control of – and perverted the purpose of – public institutions…
.
…I need to give credit where credit is due, in respect of the goings-on in Greenwich.
Academic who backed ‘decolonising’ curriculum dropped from museum board
Chair resigns from Royal Museums Greenwich after minister’s refusal to reappoint Dr Aminul Hoque
On the face of it, welcome news
Anyone who endorses ‘decolonisation’ and/or any kind of BLM Un-British hogwash should of course be excluded from any input into cultural life.
And if there are any geezers like ‘Charles Dunstone, the founder of Carphone Warehouse, ‘ who choose to take the side of such undesirables, good riddance to them too.
The millionaire ‘reportedly resigned from the Royal Museums Greenwich board after the culture secretary, Oliver Dowden, refused to reappoint trustee Dr Aminul Hoque, an education academic at Goldsmiths, University of London.’
You can read the whole story and make up your own mind.
Greenwich is, or was, when I visited years ago, a nice place, and Canadian readers may note that General Wolfe…

….who won Canada for the Empire, is buried there.
One would hope that any museum there, or anywhere in the UK, should instil pride in, rather than unease at, Britain’s heritage.
But what comes across quite glaringly is that Bojo’s Culture Secretary, Oliver Dowden, seems abashed.
Instead of revelling in an achievement…
…Dowden seems to be playing it down.
He should be going on TV, with a warning call to every alien influence out there.

Greenwich was a very pleasant borough when I lived there.
I must admit I didn’t know there was a museum, nor that General Wolfe was buried there but I was a young student more intent on fun than cultural stimuli.
The fact that BLM tentacles (‘decolonisation’) have spread to outlying areas and are no longer just throttling big city institutions is horrifying.
If this Mr. Dowden is doing something about it, that’s pleasing but MUCH more is needed.
The BBC should be top of theist for a clean-up, though I agree with all you say about Kew Gardens, and the British Museum too.
If all public funding is stopped until those BLM fans are removed, I think that would work.
So why does Dowden stay at arm’s length from the problem?

I think the Tories do a little tinkering as in Greenwich so they can answer when asked what are they doing about our institutions being hijacked by marxists.
But on the big issues, like getting the BBC and the British Museum back from the left, they are useless.
