NO ‘Mistake!’- Hang That Sow Begum!


Never heard of some geezer named Andrew Drury –

( allegedly an actor, so obviously qualified…to do what besides acting?)

– but he must be a total  sucker, given what he has to say about the satanic bitch Begum.

When I was 15, many were my ‘mistakes’ and no doubt many readers can say the same.

Some of us dodged school on a sunny day to play footie in the park, others may have felt a need to crib a friend’s essay.

Or shout fatuous comments at suspenseful moments in the cinema.

That was ‘a childish mistake,’ my pals and I made often, but it was fun!

Worse things can be done by 15- year-olds, petty crimes like shop-lifting, which I never did, or…

…well, lying about one’s age to get an unlawful drink in a pub… no comment!

But I did not set out for a far-off, war-torn land, aiming to join a gang, as Begum did…..
