Musing In Jakarta, Talking Sense On Ulster!

Let me say by way of preface, I am easing off for a little while.

Whilst I personally, ever resourceful, am coping with life in an Indonesia convulsed by the Chinese Virus…

…it’s not that easy when people I like tell me they have caught the damnable plague, or there’s someone close to them has contracted it and passed away.

Simply to carry on as usual, as if we’re all still partying, as we were, less than two years ago….

As for Venice and its people, merely born to bloom and drop,
Here on earth they bore their fruitage, mirth and folly were the crop,
What of soul was left, I wonder, when the kissing had to stop

….with no stresses except those we foreigners quickly learned to live with ( those that couldn’t soon left!) is no longer an option.

Hence the blog will continue but perhaps less frequent, no more than once daily, not as fast, maybe…

….but still, I hope, as furious in the resistance cause.

Now to Daniel Hannan, formerly an MEP, who socked it often to the Strasbourg Slugs, earning my respect even when I felt obliged to disagree with him….

We are all under pressure. Reading statistics which we don’t all believe are accurate is not the same as hearing colleagues say somebody that matters to them has died .
Keep at it, Ross, a lot of the local English language media is unreadable so we enjoy your blog

I get it, and it’s getting to all of us, not a doubt.
Still, we Ulster British people can’t let our guard down.
Nobody in their right minds would trust Johnson to defend us.
