Tories Tackle Left ‘Charities?’ Too Little Too Late?.

In the latest crossings, 41 people on a single boat reached the UK on Sunday

That’s what most Brits surely say, but…

Steve Valdez-Symonds, Amnesty International UK’s Refugee and Migrant Rights director, said…

Amnesty is an absurd organisation, to which nobody should pay serious attention. .

If you want to know what the berk said, use the BBC link..

But at the top of that linked story, here’s the arrogance that makes it essential that Amnesty and other such political pressure groups be brought to heel.

.Use of a former military barracks to house asylum seekers “beggars belief” and must end, charities say.

Who the HELL do they think they are?

    Who elected these busy-bodies?

If these creeps are so fond of border gate-crashers, let the illegals be lodged in the homes of Amnesty staff and ‘volunteers…’

…and make the hosts share responsibility for any crimes committed.

    Share out the jail time!

We have often urged the UK “charities’ watchdog to pursue a regulatory agenda” as a means of curbing extreme left agitprop antics on the part of outfits registered as ‘charities.’

Or, as the Guardian puts it, with blithe disregard for impartial coverage, “against good causes that ministers believe stray into “woke” and “political” activities.”

But attempting to find a new chairman for the Charity Commission who understands the difference between charity….

…and leftery is not going to cut it.

It’s not a bad idea, and that’s why the ‘snouts-in-the-trough’ mob are incandescently going to court to thwart reform.

These extremist ‘charities’ wish to be free to rattle their collecting cans under any banner they please.

The problem is they don’t have much use for collecting cans.

They grub into the public purse!

If the Conservative Government wishes to appoint a sensible chairman, okay.

But better by far to pass legislation that makes ‘charities’ depend on donations by those who are content to give.

Not a penny should be filched from citizens’ pockets by national or local government authorities or agencies to subsidise ‘charities’ that engage in propaganda or pressure group politics.
