Tory MPs To Give Voters ‘Asylum’ Veto?

Democracy rules?

I see “Tory MPs…are backing an idea…

…to allow residents of streets or villages to vote on whether to accept additional development in their close vicinity….

The more power to the people, the better…

.

.

…and any move to hinder arrogant elite diktats…

.

.

…that impact disagreeably on the lives of citizens should be welcomed.

But let this principle of community consent not be confined merely to ‘development…’

.

.

..but also to the imposition of so-called ‘asylum-seekers’ on villages, towns or city neighbourhoods that do not wish to be thus afflicted.

.

PS

Yes, it would be better still to have a NATIONAL referendum on UK withdrawal from supranational conventions that politicians use as their excuse for open-door policies.

.

.

But that would require a PM with MUCH more back-bone than rhe current occupant of 10 Downing Street.
