OUP? Oh You Prigs!

The works of Beatrix Potter and Enid Blyton were cited as classics that parents regularly turned to when choosing books to read to their children..

Good choices!

But to hell with nice books about nice children!

Oxford University Press (OUP) is urging families to be more adventurous, so that their children can learn about global issues from bedtime stories.

…parents should broaden their horizons when it comes to the books that they read so children find out about diversity, homelessness and the need to care for the environment.

‘Diversity?’ No specific direction to LGBTI!?!
No Lesbians, Gays, Bestialists, Trannies and Incesters?

Why pump ‘diversity‘ cr-p into kiddies of the Beatrix Potter age-group!

Why dump Enid Blyton and make children read about ‘homelessness?’

Kids should not have to worry about that kind of dreary stuff- let them be unburdened by adult issues.

That Oxford University Press pinko hogwash was what got me started.

But although my idea for a headline at once began to form, with the ‘Oh You‘ easily come up with, what about that ‘P?’

I had to dismiss several options, apt but obscene, then…bingo!

Prig…!

“..a self-righteously moralistic person who behaves as if superior to others.
