Lammy Slams Protocol Reform As ‘Lawless?’

One might think Labour notable David Lammy’s comparison of the ‘government’s plans for laws to unpick the Brexit treaty with the behaviour of ‘dictatorships’ is laughable, but the more you read, the more absurd it gets! .

“This protocol bill is a charter for lawlessness that serves the interest of those who want to weaken the rule of law..,”

Huh?

‘Rule of Law?’

Whereby rulings, when the UK disagrees with Brussels, are made by Brussels’s collabo ECJ court?

Oh, and Lammy may think we’ve forgotten his own record on ‘lawless’ behaviour.

So if the law is tough on evil-doers, Lammy squeals indignantly, but he’d happily have used ‘legal’ process to subvert democracy in 2016?

Yet Lammy in 2022, this week, has the  nerve to throw stones from his glass house?

Now the Protocol bill’s going before parliament.

That’s how the legal process operates, nothing ‘distorted’ at all!

It’s not perfect, ought to go further.

But if it’s passed, it’s law – if it doesn’t, then it’s not law.

But Lammy’s Law, or his enthusiasm for the law-making process, looks like it’s ever-changing, depending on partisan perspectives
