    Pancasila? Seven Years Post-Cikeusik, Ahmadis Still Suffer

    It was on February 6th, 2011, not so very far from Jakarta, that the infamous Cikeusik Pogrom occurred, three innocent Ahmadis….

    =

    Cikeusik – cowardly scum commit sectarian murder

    Watch the pigs at their bloody work on this link..   http://www.liveleak.com/view.

    …savagely bludgeoned to death by a mob of cowardly Islamist fanatics.

    Victim of Islamist Murder Mob Gets Six Months in the Slammer

    We lament this atrocity every year and remind all prepared to listen that no justice has yet been done, no charges of murder brought against the swine responsible.

    But the persecution of, the denial of religious liberty to, this peaceful and decent community continues today.

    It’s never stopped.

    =

    =

    Just put ‘Ahmadis’ into our search box over there to the right and you can see the endless saga of vicious sectarianism that afflicts them.

    ====

    Just a week or so ago, just a few miles from where I live, just across the city limits that separate Jakarta from Tangerang in the Province of Banten, Islamist bigotry reared its ugly head,

    I quote from the local newspaper.

    Pemuda Pancasila (PAP) Ciputat, accompanied residents and a number of community leaders to reject the construction of the Ahmadiyah Jemaah Mosque in Ciputat,  South Tangerang, on Saturday (20/01/2018)

    .

    Dampingi Warga Serua Indah, Pemuda Pancasila Tolak Pembangunan Masjid Jemaah Ahmadiyah

    Their rejection of the Ahmadiyah Mosque was also demonstrated by the installation of banners at the entrance of the empty land.

    Needless to say, the notorious thug-gang, the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was reportedly present. But that’s par for the course whenever intolerance is in the air.

    FPI in West Java – ‘Let’s Burn Out the Orphans!’

    Eager to kill!

    =

    IslamoNazi Gauleiter – “Women Already Have Limitations, Let Alone Non-Muslims!”

    Again, search ‘FPI’ and you’ll see what we mean.

    It was the presence of the Pemuda Pancasila that caught my attention more than anything else.

    Pemuda simply means Youth, but Pancasila is Indonesia’s national ideology, a key tenet of which is pluralism, respect for all Indonesians’ right to worship Almighty God.

    Except it seems, if they upset the so-called ‘scholars’ of the MUI, the Indonesian Scholars Council, whose fatwas are sometimes just laughable…

    =

    …but not always.

    The bigoted fatwa they unleashed some years ago against the Ahmadis has been invoked by fanatics over and over to stomp their right to worship, often by wicked, violent means.

    So an outfit using the word Pancasila ought to be defending religious liberty, you’d think. Instead, astonishingly, the PP spokesman at the scene declared that –

    ” Then the basis of our rejection was quite clear, that there is no last Prophet other than the Prophet Muhammad SAW, “said Abdul Aziz.

    Another protester told the media –

    “So in addition to the rejection of the construction of the mosque, we also reject the Ahmadiyah congregation…”.

    http://www.suaradewan.com/dampingi-warga-serua-indah-pemuda-pancasila-tolak-pembangunan-masjid-jemaah-ahmadiyah/#

    So the objection to the proposed Ahmadi mosque is NOT based on anything that you or I would deem planning grounds, no access problems, no infrastructure problems, no…

    It’s purely because the peaceful minority holds views at variance with Islamist dogma. Very sad, that seven years after the Cikeusik Pogrom, there’s no sign of any mind-set revolution in Tangerang, nor in many other places…

    PS – here’s a list of examples of oppression which we reproduced last year –In Jakarta, Persecuted Ahmadis Seek Justice!  – there have been other incidents since then.

    Sectarian Barbarism – Alive And Thriving In Pakistan!

    Three members of Ahmadiyya community sentenced to death in Pakistan

    [[[[[[[[[[[[[[

    =-=======

    Three Ahmadis, to die at the hands of primitive savages?

    The report from Pakistan immediately brought to mind the Cikeusik Pogrom here in Indonesia, February 6th 2011, three blameless Ahmadis slaughtered by an evil rabble, a thousand sectarian scumbags…

    …but there’s one key difference.

    The innocent victims of wicked Islamists then were bludgeoned to death by a mob of cowardly swine, not one of whom was ever charged with murder.

    ====

    =========

    Disgraceful and a stain on Indonesia’s reputation  – but down to inaction, not directly done by the judicial arm of the state.

    The latest news, in contrast, refers to what Pakistan presumably  would have us believe is a court of law!

    • Three members of the persecuted Ahmadiyya community have been sentenced to death in Pakistan’s Punjab province for committing blasphemy by tearing up posters that demanded boycott of the minority sect.

    • Law, maybe, but a parody of justice!

    • In fact what was done there last week exposes Pakistan as one of the most backward and bigoted countries in the world, downright wickedness dispensed by judges who are beneath contempt.

    • Persecution of people for how they choose to worship is intolerable, especially people like the Ahmadis, who are absolutely peaceful, good citizens wherever they live…

    • =

    • ===
    • ….and in every way inoffensive, except to benighted brutes, is an affront to humanity.

    • According to police official Muhammad Ashar, the people had displayed posters in the village urging social boycott of the Ahmadiyya community which three people had teared down. “The posters carried Islamic verses,” he said.

    • If it weren’t such an affront to decency, the scandalous ‘proceedings’ would be near laughable!

    • They have also been fined Rs 200,000 each and in case they don’t pay the fine, they would undergo six months of rigorous punishment.

    • Well, Hell, I’m sure that’ll vex them no end!

    • Will their six months of rigorous punishment.be imposed before, during, or after their execution?

    • Speaking of Hell, I reckon one individual who will end up there sooner or later is the person who presided over a ‘trial’ more reminiscent of a mediaeval witch-hunt…

    • ==
    • ….than an exercise in dispensing justice.

    • ======
    • District and Sessions Judge of Sheikhupura district of Punjab province Mian Javed Akram  announced the verdict on Wednesday after the prosecution submitted evidence and presented all witnesses in the case…
    • ….The convicts admitted before the court that they had removed the posters for demanding social boycott of Ahmadiyya community but not to commit blasphemy.
    • Oh, yeah, it was those verses that did for them!

    • All hope is not lost.

    • Their counsel will challenge the verdict in the higher court.

    • But let’s look at the broader picture.

    • The report reminds us that it was the military dictator Zia ul Haq who made it a punishable offence for Ahmadiyyas to call themselves Muslim or to refer to their faith as Islam.
    • =
    • The community is also banned from preaching as well as from travelling to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage. They are also not allowed to publish any material propagating their faith.

    Borobudur Threat – Buddhists Fear Bigot Backlash!

    Fake news articles and photos about the Rohingya’s suffering in Rakhine State have also been circulating on local social media, causing even more anger and frustration over the continued violence against the minority group in Myanmar.

    Indeed, some nasty bigots here apparently are already doing their worst to foment trouble.

    But they have also led to provocations against Indonesia’s Buddhist communities, with rumors of a demonstration to be held at Borobudur, the world’s biggest Buddhist temple, going around on social media.

    Borobudur is not only the world’s biggest Buddhist temple but one of Indonesia’s major tourist attractions. I’ve been there more than once.

    In recent years we mentioned it on our blog, because, given how ignoramus elements were intent on destroying Indonesia’s cultural heritage…

    …it was not unreasonable to assume they might set their sectarian sights on the mighty temple, which stands near Jogjakarta.

    Blasting Borobudur? ISIS, Enemies of Civilisation!

    “Mohon Ma’af?” Blasphemous Brutes Vandalise Depok Mosque!

    Mohon ma’af, ‘ is a common addition to Idul Fitri greetings here, people asking forgiveness for any wrongs they’ve done in the past year.

    I wonder if certain blasphemous bigots in Depok will walk over to the Ahmadi Mosque they vandalised this weekend….

    The vandals, who used motorcycles, threw eggs and paint at the mosque’s yard and front and back gates. “They also threw eggs at the mosque’s CCTV cameras so their actions would not be recorded,” Fatiatulo Lazira, a lawyer with the team, said. They also placed a banner expressing animosity toward Ahmadiyah near the mosque.

    ….and seek forgiveness.

    I doubt it. Islamist bigots have no conscience recognisable to normal human beings.

    I recall that evil mass-murderer, Imam Samoedra, one of the Bali Bomb Pigs..

    Imam Samoedra, with his two satanic co-killers

    iiiiiiiiii

    …being asked by a naive journo prior to his well-deserved execution, if he would be asking forgiveness.

    ‘Why would I ask forgiveness from kafir,’ was the monster’s retort.

    So no repentance likely among the backward beasts in Depok either, where the vandalised Ahmadi mosque had already been shut down by the sectarian local government’s goon-squad.

    ===

    Hasil gambar untuk masjid ahmadiyah depok

    The mosque has been sealed off by the Depok administration seven times, with the most recent occurring on June 4.

    Nor is there any news from President Jokowi, who likes to talk about Indonesia’s pluralism, about any plan to repeal the notorious Tri-Ministerial Decree.

    The Ahmadis have long been persecuted in the country, with the government issuing a joint ministerial decree banning their activities in 2008.http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/06/24/ahmadiyah-mosque-in-depok-vandalized-ahead-of-idul-fitri.html

    At least the JP report has a few words on the source of  much of Indonesia’s intolerance, reminding us that it was the MUI’s dogmatic decree…

    The  2005 Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) fatwa declaring the teachings of Ahmadiyah heretical

    which bigot bureaucrats  have used to shut down religious liberty in dismal Depok – more than once!

    I do suspect, however, that ‘heretical’  – and utterly inoffensive and peaceful  – Ahmadis today are saying ‘mohon ma’af’ for any little mistakes they have made, over the past 12 months, in good conscience, knowing that they have done nothing wrong in wishing to worship God Almighty in their own honourable way.

    Shadow Of Islamist Intolerance Darkens Depok Once Again

    It’s not as if we haven’t looked into the ugly face of Islamist intolerance in Depok scores of times, sometimes with a grimace at the antics of those involved Islamist Bigot Biter Bit in West Java

    But at other times one has to feel nothing but contempt for the mean-spirited oppression of the inoffensive and utterly blameless Ahmadiyah religious minority.

    Sadly, the latest news falls into the latter category, nothing to smile about as sectarian bigotry blights the city yet again.

    The Mayor of Depok thinks it’s acceptable to hammer religious liberty in his dismal city, apparently to meet the demands of “certain groups that pressured him into forbidding Ahmadiyah followers from carrying out their worship activities in Depok.”

    =

    =

    Mayor Mohamed Idris sent in his goon-squad, the SatPol PP – civic militia – and now the Ahmadis’ Al-Hidayah Mosque has been sealed.

    One government flunkey tries to justify suppression of religious liberty by invoking the locals’ numbskull bigotry.

    fDepok National and Political Unity Agency head Dadang Wihana argued that the closure was aimed at maintaining a peaceful situation and to protect the Ahmadis themselves, saying that the locals had felt disturbed by their presence and they might incite conflicts.  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/06/08/ahmadis-plan-lawsuit-against-depok-administration.html

     One might think it’s numbskulls, like those who can’t observe other people’s ways of worship without getting ‘disturbed, that deserve the attentions of the SatPol PP.

    ======

    The militia is equipped with sturdy batons which might knock some sense into those numb skulls!

    It’s fairly nauseating to be back on the subject of religious liberty in Depok, West Java, yet again.

    =============

    It’s especially offensive because Ramadhan is meant to be a holy month of reflection and introspection, not persecution, but the authorities in Depok clearly care little for soul-searching and much more for witch-hunting.

    Ahmadiyah spokesman Yendra Budiana said that the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) and the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) had urged the mayor to not restrict religious freedom…  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2017/06/04/authorities-allegedly-seal-ahmadiyah-mosque-in-depok.html

    But decent people versus ‘certain groups?’

    Not much of a contest in Dark Age Depok.

    The Ahmadis are now talking lawsuit, but if the powerful Governor of Jakarta can be sent to prison for quoting an Islamic verse, what chance do a small congregation of humble folk persecuted in Depok have?

    Important question – who are these ‘certain groups?’

    Neither the Ahmadi leader nor the Jakarta Post seem up to telling us. Ahmadis, of course, have faced murderous persecution…

    —–

    Islamist beasts at their bloody work in Cikeusik

    —-

    … notably at Cikeusik six years ago, when three of them were martyred by a mob of Islamist savages. They have reasons to be wary.

    But it’s surely the Jakarta Post’s job to report properly and seek out the ‘certain groups?

    =

    Sectarian gangsters need to be exposed, not covered for, although there’s a pretty good bet that it’s IslamoNazis at work again.

    Which particular gang? I don’t know, and I haven’t got the resources the newspapers have to find out.

    If I had, I’d try.

    Has the JP tried?

    Doubt it.

    Bravo, Borneo – Cops Order ‘Kill-Kill’ Cleric, ‘Get Outa Here!’

    A little fatigued this morning, after two good nights out in a row, but I am buoyed by black coffee..

    …..

    …AND by exhilirating news from that huge island known to English-speakers as Borneo, where armed security forces blocked the intrusion of infamous hate-preacher Sobri Lubis into West Kalimantan Province.

    ===

    Sobri Lubis told he’s not welcome – now watch and listen – this video was made a few years ago, when he shrieked his monstrous call for a jihadist mob to ‘Bunuh, Bunuh, Bunuh’ (KILL KILL KILL!)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7RLCXNdKF4  –

    ===

    Lubis arrived with another Islamist fanatic, Bachtiar Nasir, Chairman of the National Movement for the Defense of the Indonesian Ulema Council (GNPF-MUI)…

    .

    Gambar terkait

    Bachtiar belly-aching beside Islamist flag in Jakarta

    .

    ….that’s the bunch who have orchestrated the fanatic campaign against Jakarta’s Christian Governor Ahok over the bizarre ‘blasphemy’ allegations.

    Kalimantan has lots of very sensible people. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard from them.

    Bravo Dayaks – Mass Airport Rally to Block IslamoNazis

    ..and this ..

    Lubis, of the self-styled ‘Islam Defenders’ Front,’ (FPI) has long been notorious throughout Indonesia, since his revolting harangue before a mob of savages…

    ===

    Hasil gambar untuk sobri kalimantan

    …………….

    …when he screamed at them to ‘KILL, KILL, KILL’ members of the Ahmadi religious minority.  No charges were ever brought against him for this blatant incitement to murder innocent people.

    So it was incredibly refreshing to see him forced to turn tail and scuttle back to Jakarta, after he and his equally intolerant companion were confronted by ‘hundreds’ of police and army personnel at the local Supadio airport.

    The deployment of so many was required because not only were there two nasties flying in but a large IslamoNazi mob were organising a convoy towards Supadio to welcome them. That rabble too was successfully prevented from any such sectarian display.

    In a related issue of Pojoksatu, we learn that the bigots (I won’t use the word in the original report – ‘scholars!’) had planned their trip to to join in the inauguration of a new FPI branch.

    But I give pride of place to this one sentence –

    Finally Ustaz Sobri Lubis and his entourage were forced to leave the airport and fly back to Jakarta at 20:02 pm

    http://pojoksatu.id/news/berita-nasional/2017/05/06/mencekam-ketua-umum-fpi-dihadang-di-bandara-supadio-lihat-videonya/ .

    What a joy, to see how responsible law enforcement can make a difference!

    And what a difference between the police in West Kalimantan, who recognise sectarian menace when they see it, and Indonesia’s National Police Chief, Tito Karnavian, the man entrusted with nationwide prevention of malignant thuggery.

    “… I have long talked with FPI friends  and had many conversations with their high imam (Rizieq).” said Karnavian….

    —-Oh, yes, THAT Rizieq…

    Rizieq, with his rabid hero, Ba’asyir, who’s currently doing time for terror-links

    ——-

    “We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq.  http://www.suara.com/news/2016/10/14/134313/

    ——–

    “He was very tolerant actually… FPI is an Islamic organization so very tolerant of other religions,” he added. Video Viral, Tito Karnavian: FPI Ormas Islam yang Sangat Toleran

    It was so depressing when we read those words of his, regarding the notorious vigilante gang as a –

    ‘VERY TOLERANT MUSLIM COMMUNITY ORGANISATION.’

    Many of you won’t have the Indonesian language skills to follow what the country’s senior policeman says on the video, so here are a few more –

    Tito Karnavian declared that FPI is a community organization that is tolerant.

    According to Tito, their activities like that he attended will get rid of the ugly stigma of the FPI as “radical and militant synonymous with violence and intolerance.”

    Karnavian added that this stigma is maybe applied as a label by the mass media and then influences the public….

    Yeah, right.

    Mike Pence’s (Somewhat Limited?) ‘Multi-Faith’ Experience!

    Most of the media mentioned how America’s VP Mike Pence happily joined in a ‘multi-faith’ gathering in Jakarta, after visiting the huge Istiqlal mosque.

    The actual ‘faiths’ included in the ‘multi-faith’ meet-up don’t seem to be identified, at least in the media I’ve looked at.

    But I am led to wonder if Mr. Pence had a chance to talk to representatives of one particular faith, the peaceful and inoffensive Ahmadiyah.

    They have been subjected to systematic discrimination, not only by dastardly Islamist bigot brutes…

    ===========================

    …but also by local governments around the country…

    Many of us expected, hoped at least, that when President Jokowi took over, he would annul the intolerant edict.

    He hasn’t.

    Did Mr. Pence’s Ambassador bring him up to speed with the persecution of these good citizens that began some years ago, reached a nadir at Cikeusik, when that mob of savages martyred three Ahmadis – nobody ever charged with murder – and continues today.

    If Donald Trump’s V-P was properly informed on this shameful saga, one hopes he raised the issue at the ‘multi-faith’ meeting.

    If Mike Pence was unaware, it’s time to fire a few embassy flunkeys.

      Good, Ross,
      Its maybe late in the day but you are back to your good old form of defending Indonesia’s good people.
      I think deep down you know its too late but it still needs to be said.

    Jakarta Election – The Ugly Face of Islamist Intolerance!

    Just days now till Jakarta elects its governor, and the Christian incumbent, Ahok, is said to have done well in the last televised debate, which I didn’t see.

    =

    Djarot, left, Ahok, right

    =

    But his Muslim running mate, Djarot, did not have much fun on Friday.

    Djarot Expelled from Mosque after Friday Prayer

    The report in Tempo concerns his attendance at Al-Atiq Mosque in Tebet, which is just a little east of downtown Jakarta.

    I once had lunch at a cheap eatery in Tebet railway station and was received in kindly manner by all around me.

    So there’s no reason to think that the average resident is a hateful bigot, like the fanatic creep who, on Friday, got hold of a loud-speaker and called on the crowd not to vote for a non-Muslim leader in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. When Djarot was about to leave the mosque, people shouted and told him to leave.

    https://en.tempo.co/read/news/2017/04/14/057866116/Djarot-Expelled-from-Mosque-after-Friday-Prayer

    Having said most Tebet folk are not Islamist ignoramuses, it’s fair to remind everyone that some of them are just that!

    =

    =

    And some of them have a long-standing grudge against Ahok.

    They won’t have forgotten that, two years ago, the Jakarta Governor took a vocal stand against bigot brutes who harassed the inoffensive minority Ahmadi congregation there, shutting down their house of worship.

    Jakarta This Week – Blameless Minority Creed Hounded Again!

    Djarot apparently took the display of sectarian intolerance calmly, though he argues that every Muslim has the right to conduct Friday prayer at any mosque….

    =

    freedom-of-religion

    =

    Djarot previously felt that the mass at the mosque welcomed him. People even asked him for a handshake and selfie.

    However, the situation changed when a caretaker of the mosque called on people not to vote for a non-Muslim leader.

    =

    • “I had no problem with the people. It was the caretaker who started provoking them.”

    • The election takes place on Wednesday.

    • Ahok’s opponent, Anies Baswedan, has shown no reluctance about seeking the approval of the most extreme elements in the land.

    • Anies Wins an adoring smile from ferocious fanatic Habib Rizieq, who thinks the Christian Governor Ahok should be slain for mere words.“We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq.  http://www.suara.com/news/2016/10/14/134313/

    ===============

    • If Anies wins, a lot of us foreigners who have lived here for years are wondering how long before we are left with little choice but to leave.

    • Not me!

    • How could I abandon all my Indonesian friends to face the joys of ‘shariah nightlife!’

    Depok ‘Friendly? To Saudi Royals, Not To Religious Liberty!

    The conceit of politicians here is probably not much worse or much better than that back in the West.

    So reading about Depok Deputy Mayor Pradi Supriatna’s anguish, over the omission of his photo from a billboard erected to welcome the Saudi King ( currently on a state visit to Indonesia) made me smile.

    Mayor Mohammad Idris Abdul Shomad smiles too, from the billboard, leaving poor Pak Pradi to wail – “My picture should have been attached…”

    Was the King even going to Depok?

    The intolerance of religious dissent frequently reported there would likely gladden the royal heart…West Java – Depok’s Damnable Dreary Bigotry, Again! …but there is little to attract people there, except for the University of Indonesia‘s green and pleasant campus.

    But what expanded my smile to a slightly nauseous guffaw was the poster’s hilarious message – Depok, of all places, is – wait for it! –

    But as a civic entity?

      I hope Jakarta doesn’t go the same way after the run-off, but I think Anies the friend of the FPI might be the next governor, so where next for us expats that have liked living here for years.
