    Indonesia’s Other Virus Erupts Again!

Indonesia is fighting back against the Chinese Virus…

    .

    .

…but there’s another foul plague that also needs to be extirpated – hatred of the harmless Ahmadiyah minority.

    It’s been around a lot longer…

Ahmadi kids in ‘shelter’ after their families were driven out of their homes by vicious Islamists

… and we have recorded its evil presence, many a time.

According to Merdeka.com, up to 16 people were identified as suspects after a pack of rabid bigots wrecked an Ahmadi mosque in Sintang, West Kalimantan, ‘some time ago.’

That ‘some time ago’ seemed puzzling, but it turns out that, although about 300 cops were called out to the scene of the mayhem, it’s only now the scumbags who ran amok are being targetted.

    Why?

A senior local policeman, Head of Public Relations of the West Kalimantan Police, Kombes (Pol) Donny Charles is quoted, viz.

“…when the incident occurred, his officers did not take firm action against the protesters, because they were prioritising security and protection of local residents from the tantrums of the mob…

…..so, at the time of the incident, police did not arrest the crowd who had been acting anarchically….a soft approach is also a wise step,” he explained.

One can see his logic but at the same time…

There has been so much vile, vicious and entirely unjustifiable persecution of the Ahmadiyah.

Not just here in Indonesia but in Pakistan, a maelstrom of intolerance…

Yet when Indonesians are being constantly exhorted by President Jokowi…

    .

…and every other leader, to show solidarity in the face of the plague that began in the Wuhan lab, it seems more than usually tragic…

    .

    ..

…that a rabble of pig-Ignoramuses think it timely to stage a sectarian amok-run.

One has to wonder if those swine just woke up one day and decided to be demonic….

    .

    .

….or if they were incited by some local goat-beard brute pretending to be ‘religious,’ urging them to ‘bunuh, bunuh bunuh.’

Such murderous incitement has been heard in this otherwise lovely country.

And currently, we read that the cops in Kalimantan are ‘focused on safeguarding the 72 people or 20 families of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat and the building of houses of worship

    https://www.merdeka.com/peristiwa/16-orang-jadi-tersangka-perusakan-rumah-ibadah-ahmadiyah-di-sintang.html

We all hope the rigorous rules enforced, the PPKM, against Covid 19 succeed in its eventual eradication.

As for the hate-plague, it’s up to courts of law.

    .

    .

If each pig-ignoramus convicted of nvolvement in the mayhem got 30 years behind bars, that would be a fine start.

French Leaving Pakistan? Why GO There?

The French embassy in Pakistan on Thursday issued an advisory to its nationals asking them to temporarily leave the country following violent anti-France protests by a radical religious group, The Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP).

These primitives have their pantaloons in a twist because France is seen as a place…

…where free speech is not fettered by backward sectarianism.

Even though there are no reports of protesters targeting French citizens so far, the Embassy said that the move is “precautionary… https://indianexpress.com/article/explained/pakistan-tlp-protest-france-7274978/

    Wise move by the French.

But to be frank, no civilised people should ever set foot in Pakistan, unless there is an utterly compelling need.

My blog has apparently been blocked there…

…because I have made no secret of what I think of the benighted country….

He tells our French people to leave Pakistan because there are so many dangerous and backwards people.
Even so, he is still not expelling Pakistanis who are in France who do not like free speech and free cartoon drawing and are causing trouble.
Macron also is still letting more into France not only from Pakistan but also many other backwards who hate free expression and want to make France go backwards to the age of blasphemy laws.

Jakarta New Year Hope? Pak Gus Pondering Repeal?

You may remember we commended words of wisdom from a man named Yaqut Cholil Qoumas a while ago….

    Yaqut Cholil Qoumas…

Indonesia – Fiery Fury Over Freedom Banners – But Good For Gus!

Known to his friends as Gus, he held the chairmanship of the moderate G.P. Ansor and we mentioned that he was also a parliamentarian.

Now he’s Indonesia’s Minister of Religion, a very good choice by President Jokowi, but he has a lot of work to do, if he is to turn his decent aspirations into reality.

“This is the first basic stance the government will hold,” he said.

    Good to hear.

But the evil done to the innocent Ahmadis for years is a continuing crime that cries to Heaven for redress.

I refer to the theft, arson, brutality and murder which followed in the wake of that discriminatory diktat.

One or two glances at previous posts will be enough to bring new readers up to date.

But Pak Gus, the new Minister, is, to the best of my knowledge, both a decent and tolerant man.

Regarding the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Home Affairs Number 9 and 8 of 2006 which are said to limit the construction of places of worship, Gus Yaqut said he would read and study them.

“I have to read it first. I’ve only been in for two days, sir. But surely I will study it in the near future,” said Gus Yaqut.

Please be a fast reader, Pak.

Jakarta Boycott Reality Check? Ask Fadli, Caught Smiling With Trump!

Presumably not many fanatical Islamists go shopping at the Galerie Lafayette (there is a branch here in Jakarta) but then neither do I, though I have wandered in while waiting for friends in town.

Most department stores here are staffed by cuties…

    .

    .

…so it makes more sense to admire them than hang about in some expensive coffee-shop!

I don’t know how many of the items on sale are imported from France, but if they are, they’ll be out of my price league anyway, and probably that’s about the only thing I have in common…

…with those who went shuffling along on the very short ‘Long March’ a few years ago!

Beware! Very Short Fanatic ‘Long March,’ Jakarta, This Friday!

That’s the problem the extremists will encounter on their proposed ‘boikot’ of French goods, their notion of retaliation for the welcome, if belated…

Rich people who are fans of luxury brands don’t necessarily want to boycott French products

But interesting to read on and be unsurprised that it’s not only the FPI notable, Habib Novel Bamukmin, a regular subject of concern in my pages…

Novel has featured here before, for enlightened statement which bring such credit to his cause.   – “women already have limitations, let alone non- Muslims!” http://megapolitan.kompas.com/read/2013/10/26/1937287/.FPIMenolak.Lurah.Susan.Harga.Mati

There’s somebody else we have mentioned over the years, who holds a senior position in the DPR ( parliament) a certain Fadli Zon, who has also joined in the boycott chorus.

Fadli Zon, who previously distinguished himself when he criticized the military’s decision to strip Lebak military commander of his post for recruiting the FPI in Banten to take the training recently, calling the decision “regrettable”.

    ….

Mr. Fadli Zon is undoubtedly rich – he’s a senior politician, after all! – and could surely ask around his equally rich colleagues if they, or their wives and daughters, will shun French imports.

He’s not a man I have much time for.

We covered Fadli’s declaration of ‘open house’ at the Indonesian Parliament buildings a couple of years ago.

The Deputy Speaker was eager to offer accommodation to Islamist extremists who’d come into Jakarta for the fanatic demo which ended in shocking violence that awful Friday night.

Will Fadli Open ‘The People’s House” To Jakarta’s Homeless?

We asked if he would be equally hospitable to people who genuinely need somewhere to sleep, like Jakarta’s homeless.

I didn’t expect a response, nor did I get one.

But now I am reminded of an even more pressing case that ought to stir Fadli’s charitable instincts, namely, those Ahmadi refugees.

Fadli Zon justified his offer to let intolerant extremists sleep over in the House of Representatives by saying it’s the ‘house of the people.’

The plight of the Ahmadis remains dire.

Petisi – Kebebasan Beragama! Freedom Of Religion!

    oooo

But my overseas readers will maybe be more interested in another photo of Fadli Zon we used around that time, which I’d forgotten all about!

    .

According to the Deputy Chairman of Gerindra, the meeting was only limited to friendship. As a future president and also a businessman, Trump is a friend of Indonesia. Fadli even said he had taken a photo with Trump in a selfie and asked for an autograph.  http://en.metrotvnews.com/read/2015/09/04/427845/meeting-with-donald-trump-fadli-zon-said-that-it-all-spontaneous

      No? I didnt think so.
