…but we can bring that ratbag O’Leary’s name into conversations…
Ryanair has been accused of barring passengers who pursued chargebacks against the airline during the pandemic from taking new flights this year – unless they return their refunds.…
While a lot of the actors and actresses who think their opinions about domestic and international politics are not even very impressive in their show-biz roles…
….it’s a pity that John Le Carre, whose books are always very readable, has far-left, Europhiliac attitudes that are inevitably unacceptable to patriots…
….
The prize ceremony will take place at the Stockholm Concert Hall on January 30, 2020.
Le Carre spoke of the behaviour of Donald Trump and others as “absolutely comparable” to the rise of fascism in the 1930s. “It’s contagious, it’s infectious. Fascism is up and running in Poland and Hungary…”
=
…
…and if what the Guardian says about ‘Agent Running in the Field, his most recent book – which he has hinted will be his last –
.
=============================================
– depicts collusion between Donald Trump’s US and the British security services with the aim of undermining the European Union…
….then I will wait till it reaches Jakarta’s second-hand book-stores and then read it carefully…
.
.
.
…and if he depicts ‘the undermining of the European Union’ as anything other than an ADMIRABLE objective, I will review it less enthusiastically than I otherwise might.
To me, ‘Tinker Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ and ‘The Spy Who Came In From The Cold’ were simply enjoyable fiction, yet some people have to drag politics even into light reading, people like the leftists who tomorrow are giving him that ‘Olaf Palme Prize,’ who claim Le Carre…
…is constantly urging us to discuss the cynical power games of the major powers…the tension in the Middle East and the alarming rise of fascism and xenophobia in Europe and the US,” the organisers said…
No doubt Le Carre’s prejudices do stray into his spy stories, but that’s true of many authors.
I recall years ago, when Stephen King wrote ripping yarns…
.
The greatest POTUS till Trump? Yet Stephen King just had to slur his fans!
..
…he gratuitously mentioned how a particularly unpleasant character had a Reagan bumper-sticker on his pick-up truck – a childishly offensive insertion indeed!
But the perceptive reader soon screens out such gunk and gets on with the ripping yarn, even though Le Carre’s tales may lack any resemblance to what really goes on.
Though don’t forget, Le Carre’s books are just fiction and should not be taken seriously, any more than his lefty bluster should.
As to the prize – which is NOT for his literary skill but for his politics- it has in the past gone to a few good people, like Vaclav Havel, but frankly I would be minded to refuse an award that was once handed to a rat-bag leftist leaker like Daniel Ellsberg!
Another previous recipient was that Italian far-left hack we wrote about last year, Roberto Saviano, whose detestation of democratic principles….
The MV Aquarius is a former German coast-guard and fishery protection vessel (then named Meerkatze, 1977) operated since February 2016 by SOS Méditerranée and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
…and are not surprised a leftist like Le Carre would lavish largesse on such an ‘NGO!’
Still, we need to ask if the very rich writer prefers to help the crimmigrants from a safe distance only, or if he has accommodated deserving characters like these…
I have no idea where that flighty chick is now, nor, frankly, do I much care.
But what are we to make of Alexandra Hall, who, despite being a self-confessed Remainer, somehow got a job in the prestigious British Embassy in Washington DC as ‘BREXIT councillor?’
A bit like giving me the job of explaining the Tory Government’s policy of allowing hundreds of ISIS rape-gang members to flee from the defeated caliphate….
.
.
..
…and take up residence again in the country they betrayed, wandering around Britain instead of being confined behind barbed wire like the pigs they are.
….
Anyway, little Alexandra’s decision to discard her responsibilities was revealed on CNN, the American network which may not hate Brexit as much as it hates the American government, but is certainly not a media source from which patriots in either the USA or the UK expect sympathetic coverage.
Who leaked her resignation letter, which was carefully composed to be as damaging to HM Government as possible, we don’t know. I’m not going to dignify her whines by repeating them.
It was ‘ was addressed to the chargé d’affaires, Michael Tatham, and circulated among close colleagues at the embassy, ‘
So which of them passed it on to CNN?
.
.
The Guardian claims the leaked letter’s ‘authenticity was confirmed to the Guardian by diplomatic sources…’ – authenticated?
By person or persons unknown, routine practice for unreliable toe-rags who are presumably drawing fat salaries courtesy of UK tax-payers but gutlessly hide behind anonymity – hardly authentication, if the Guardian covers up its sources’ identities.
.
..
One hopes an investigation’s under way.
So MANY creeps in this story are unidentified – somebody needs to lift the stones and shine a light on what crawls out from under!
.
The story in the Guardian is shallow hack journalism at its worst, presumably reflecting standard practice at CNN.
..
With ONE exception, nobody can be found to go on the record with a good word for the woman.
Hall gets praise aplenty, but only ONE such fan is willing to identify himself, a retired State Department bureaucrat named Daniel Fried.
Her other commendations all come from ‘sources’ who – again – either don’t exist or if they do, are unwilling to speak up in public, identified only as ‘a former colleague,’ ‘friends and colleagues‘ -oh, and ‘a source who had frequent dealings with Hall..’
Hall’s CV makes intriguing reading.
She’s been around the Foreign Office for years – at one point ‘seconded’ to the US State Department, but she suddenly sloped off to join the notorious Atlantic Council…
.
The Atlantic Council is also financed by Soros’s Open Society Foundations a

The Foreign Office is rotten with Remainers.
They have to be cleaned out, because dual loyalty is unacceptable in government departments.
You have correctly noted frequently that ‘British’ members of the European Commission are obliged to renounce allegiance to our country ( as do other countries’ “representatives” who are equally forbidden to represent their nations.
The European Commissioners are forced on taking office to pledge allegiance to ‘Brussels Uber Alles.’
This woman’s involvement with the Atlantic Council makes her departure doubly welcome.
Thank you for a very enjoyable read.
Late news on BBC – the press conference scheduled for the conclusion of Boris Johnson’s talks with his Luxembourg counterpart, a man named Bettel, had to be cancelled…
…
…because of a baying mob of Europhiliac fanatics outside.
Probably just as well – Bettel was disparaging, downright rude, really…
According to Downing Street, Johnson asked to hold the press meeting indoors, so that journalists could understand what they said.
..
But Xavier Bettel’s wearing a suit – had he earlier been clad in a tank-top?
======
Bettel held the press conference alone, pointing to the empty place, saying the Brexit campaign was full of lies…

I definitely KNEW you would have a go at “Europe’s only ‘gay’ prime minister!”
I had read about Bettel but till today never seen or heard him.
He’s EXACTLY what you’d expect. A big girl’s blouse!
I’m only surprised he didn’t scratch Boris’s eyes out, or pull his hair.
…and my visit coincided with what they call their ‘State of the Union’ show, which impartially ended with a declaration by Turncoat Tusk..
.
.
…proclaiming the joys of liberalism.
Yuk!
But before that there was a nutjob Europhiliac fanatic, sporting the fancy name of Ms. Leclerq-Spooner, so eaten up with hostility to British sovereignty that she had given up her job to spend her days in anti-Brexit agitation.
Obviously a rich-bitch!
She was whining because her ‘anxiety’ over the issue had made her ill!
God, these people make ME sick!
So does EuroNews bias – they had no similar protagonist of the alternative, patriotic, point of view for us to listen to.
But then EuroNews zoomed off to some ‘psychotherapist’ – Julia Bueno by name – who told us how people were so terribly stressed out, some of them telling her they felt like they were ‘living in a parallel universe!’
I hope she told them to get off their neurotic backsides and forget all this stress cr-p.
I sometimes feel overwhelmed reading all the hate churned out by Remainiacs, but the last thing I’d do is waste my time seeing a psychotherapist!
The proper response, the healthy response, the honourable response, is to get stuck right back into the battle.
A lot of the far-left in Australia need to have their heads read. They are not content to argue their case, just get straight into violence.
I worry for democracy.
My buddies and I are out for a drink in posh Kuningan, or Menteng.
My round.
“What’s it to be, guys, Heineken or Bintang?”
Having decided, like all the rest, to order Bintang, I advise the bar-maid of our order. As she starts pouring, I change my mind.
“Make that four Bintang and one Heineken, love!”
Will the local newspaper report this development the next day as
–
……..
Market Share Shock – Expats in Jakarta change to Heineken!
….
Obviously not!
If a tiny minority of a group change their minds about something, can ANY – even the most partisan – media be justified in constructing a headline that makes it seem like a massive U-turn? –
Brexit-backing British nationals living in Spain told Channel 4 News they feel remorse for their decision as they face an uncertain future…
Now that headline is grotesquely, and probably deliberately, misleading…
…suggesting that all the patriots who have retired from their UK jobs and decided, like me, that life in a hot sunny climate is a pleasant prospect, me in Jakarta, they to Spanish shores…
…have u-turned on their patriotic Leave decision and have now joined the Grovel Gang!
But when you read the story below the headline, you quickly learn that the hacks have spoken to a mere handful of that expat community.
No attempt was made to conduct any serious survey of expat opinion.
It is highly unlikely that there has been any major shift in expat opinion.
.
Of course when you read the whole ‘i-news’ piece and see that it wasn’t them that created this archetypal ‘Fake News’ but another, notoriously unsound, segment of the UK media…
.
..
…you will NOT be surprised.
……
Speaking of people changing, or not changing, their minds….
…..whatever can we say about a man who year after year would not be pressured into abandoning his enthusiasm for Blood-Beast Adams the Sinn Fein/IRA terror boss…
….but, this month, this week, today, almost within a twinkling of an eye, threw overboard his public pledge to implement the decision of the British people on taking back their sovereignty from the Brussels Empire.

Your prologue gives us an insight or two into your Jakarta life-style, sounds like you enjoy life, but the point you are making is loud and clear.
Did Channel 4 bump into any expats there in Spain who have not changed their minds?
Surely they must have, but they quote not a word from any Brit who has stayed true to the cause of independence.
So biased reporting, but what else can we expact fom Channel 4?

By the way, Ross, we just saw on BBC, their Spain reporter saying that he was in a Benidorm expat bar last night, where 6 out of 10 were Leave voters and wanted out – no deal or not.
Must have been a different bar from Channel Four, yes?
…the High Court ruled that the Electoral Commission misinterpreted the law when fining Vote Leave over its handling of expenses during the referendum. This is telling, as you can see from the images below, the commissioners are Remainers through and through, hellbent on ruining the reputation of the Leave side. They’ve finally come a cropper.
Short but sweet!
You should do more like this one, Ross.
Sometimes you get so irate at the bad things happening in this world that you bang on about it too long.
I understand why but it is a little like overkill.
I have never had a lot of time for Heseltine, such a high and mighty opinion of himself. .
If May had any principles, she would have him expelled from the Conservative Party but then she is not really a conservative.
“It’s so important… that the Conservatives win and win well, so Theresa can negotiate that Brexit deal, so she can stand up to people who want an extreme Brexit either here or in Brussels.” http://www.bbc.com/news/election-2017-39890248

We KNOW what sort of ‘Brexit deal’ Cast-Iron would welcome. A total sell-out, just as he himself sold out Brits when he pledged a referendum EIGHT YEARS ago and then reneged shamelessly.
But anyone who signs up for Mrs. May’s ambiguity on ‘Europe’ without checking which ‘Conservative’ is on their local ballot paper could be signing freedom’s death warrant.
In Rushcliffe, for example, only fools would endorse the rabid pro-EUSSR Kenneth Clarke, who, like Cameron, has been on the wrong side of every battle decent Brits have had to fight, for years.
If enough of THAT sort of ratbag ooze into Westminster again, you can betcha May will end up relying on their support and the sell-out LibDems and the similarly ghastly separatist shrew Sturgeon to outvote resistance by parliamentary patriots.
