Jakarta Hate-Gang Fan – Security Forces’ Guest Preacher!

Like it or not, Indonesia’s security  – and the greatest threat to that security is Islamist fanaticism – depends on the Armed Forces (TNI) and Police (Polri).

    • Indonesian_National_Police_General's_Visor_Hat

    • So what in God’s Name are we  to make of the news that, at a great gathering of these security services and their kin, one of the main men on the platform party was the notorious fanatic cleric Arifin Ilham.

    • For overseas readers, we have featured this specimen in previous posts, way back  in 2012, for his bare-faced endorsement of the IslamoNazi Front Pembela Islam,  the self-styled ‘Defenders of Islam Front.’

Arrahmah.com reported that Muhammad Arifin Ilham reiterated his support for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), by writing a statement on his Facebook account page on this day, Thursday (16/02/2012) which contains a statement of support for FPI and criticism of corrupt officials who support the secular media and disobedience and spread slander that the FPI are anarchistic…Coming Soon – Halal TV!?!

    Metro TV’s Hate-Group Fan!

As most of you readers will know by now, Governor Ahok of Jakarta is facing prosecution under ‘blasphemy’ legislation, known here for its deployment against people who think for themselves about religion, and also used to suppress the religious liberty of minority groups.

And of course it’s the police who decide on the prosecution process against Ahok.

So why invite that ‘cleric’ to the joint army-police mass meeting – a self-confessed fan of the IslamoNazi hate gang?!!

There are plenty of others, respectable Islamic figures (who also, BTW, get assailed by Islamist louts – Jakarta Mosque Mayhem – IslamoNazi Louts Silence Moderate ) to choose from.

Arifin helpfully told the assembled crowd that by hidayah – that’s ‘divine guidance…‘ the channel for which, he seems to think, is this current ‘blasphemy’ witch-hunt, “Ahok could understand the power of Islam, namely that the faith of Islam and Islamic teachings are beautiful.”   http://www.beritasatu.com/megapolitan/399866-ustaz-arifin-ilham-doakan-ahok-dalam-istigasah-di-monas.html

    Beautiful?

Not according to Arifin’s big buddy Habib Rizieq, of the FPI, who spat out the ugliest, bloodiest intolerance imaginable, last month, when he called for Ahok to be SLAIN!

    habib_rizieq_temui_hasyim_muzadi

“We encourage the government to process the death penalty for Ahok as soon as possible,” said Rizieq.  http://www.suara.com/news/2016/10/14/134313/rizieq-shihab-ucapkan-kata-kata-hukuman-mati-untuk-ahok

Nothing beautiful about having a man put to death for something he’s said.

Decent Muslims surely should be loudly denouncing such poisonous nonsense? People like Rizieq are the reason that ‘Islamophobia’ exists.

So why didn’t Arifin focus his sermon to those attentive cops on the evil bigotry that calls for a man to be murdered for mere words?

The head of the armed forces, General Gatot Nurmantyo, was apparently among the 20,000 people listening to the cleric’s rapturous rant, only yesterday.

The gathering , its designated purpose being to pray for the common safety of the people of Indonesia, took place at Monas, the vast park around the National Monument.

It was near there, on 4th November, that some twenty police officers were injured when Islamist thugs ran amok at the denouement of the anti-Ahok aksi damai – ‘peaceful action!’

I didnt get to join the demo today, Ross, looks like they changed the venue at the last minute, so I think they will have been short of the numbers they expected.
I still dont see why the police were telling them to go here and there when the same police let the bad guys march along as they pleased.
But now Ive read this, I am beginning to see whats going on.
      More sad news for Indonesia.

‘Child Marriage’ in Indonesia And A Fanatic Cleric…

An article in the Jakarta Post caught my eye, not for its subject so much as one name mentioned therein, that of Ilham Arifin.

He’s on Trans TV all too often, the late, late preachy show, so he must be worth a few bob, as they say, or said, when British coins weighed more than a bottle-cap.

    ———-

    • trans tv
    • ———–
    • I switch channels when he pops up, an oily leer on his fizzog.

But again, that’s not so much for what he has to say, which interests me very little, but for what I know about him, and indeed posted here some four years ago.

Back then he was a regular feature on Metro TV…

    Metro TV’s Hate-Group Fan!

I don’t know if he’s still working there as well as at Trans, but he continues inexplicably to be treated as some sort of celebrity, shown great  deference, despite his record of support for the vilest elements in Indonesia.

    00

    ——————————

That’s him, the one without the fetching white scarf, his companion being the notorious Habib Rizieq, aka ‘High Priest’ of the self-styled Islam Defenders Front. Ilham’s never tried to hide his enthusiasm for those IslamoNazis.

Ilham Arifin’s maybe not the worst of the bizarre breed we looked at more closely in Jakarta – Islamophobia Stoked By TV Fanatics?  but to be fair, he’s bad enough.

The article that got me writing this was written by a pretty smart lady who pointed out many good reasons why marrying too young was something better not done.

But as it transpires, his son is 17 years old. So we’re at least not talking about child marriage in any bad sense, although because Indonesia’s laws require bridegrooms to be 19, young Alvin must first obtain a marriage dispensation from the Cibinong Religious Court because he is considered underage.

Seventeen is old enough – I wish authorities in Europe would apply the same yard-stick to crimmigrants, instead of the idiotic rule that treats strapping 17-year-old brutes as ‘children!’

Nevertheless, at that age, IMHO, the boy’d be happier hanging out with his pals at the local warteg, or playing soccer in the park, or bopping at a club, than taking on a life-long responsibility.

    But so be it.

Good luck to the newly weds. After all, English teens used to run across the Scots border, to Gretna Green, Scotland’s age of consent being Sweet Sixteen.

No, what bugs me about Ilham in this JP story is his comment on why he’s over the moon about the lad getting hitched.

Proudly announcing his full blessing, Arifin said he married off his child to protect him from harm in the world and after life.  http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/08/22/why-does-marrying-young-cause-more-harm-than-good.html

Protect him from harm? An objective any parent would cherish, but…

    • anfpi2
    • …why doesn’t Arifin show public concern about protecting victims of the cowardly white-shirt brutes who maraud and manhandle innocent citizens. The IslamoNazis have time and again attacked both property and people – though only when they outnumber their prey by a hefty percentage.

When brave citizens fight back, the FPI scuttle for safety faster than a rat up a drain pipe.

IslamoNazis V Freedom-Fighters? – Some Chicken, Some Neck!

Ilham could set his son a good example by including in his speech at the wedding reception a stentorian condemnation of Islamist hoodlum gangs.

And since he’ll doubtless be handling the prayers, he could point out, given his above-mentioned concern for the afterlife, that sectarian thugs should be wary of those ‘virgins in paradise’ stories.

Jakarta – Islamophobia Stoked By TV Fanatics?

It’s a fine sunny morning again here in Jakarta, and all the brighter for reading Yenny Wahid’s splendid denunciation of the IslamoNazi FPI ( self-styled’ Defenders of Islam’).

    =

    Yenny-f_769_f_380

    =

Yenni is the daughter of the late President Gus Dur, a man who exemplified the best sort of Muslim, and she says the white-shirt thug gang does not reflect an Islamic attitude. She went on to describe them as not civilized.

    http://www.tempo.co/read/news/2014/11/14/231621853/Yenny-Wahid-FPI-Organisasi-Islam-Tak-Beradab

Islamophobes please note – Yenni is a good woman. She is faithful to her religion, and naturally is concerned if it is brought into disrepute. One example she used to back up her words was the thugs’ demo last month in which twenty or more police were injured. There was another FPI demo on the same theme recently.
And those present there that disgraceful day do tend to explain why Islamophobia exists.

    ============================
One man given the opportunity to deliver an oration was Ahmad Al Habsi, popular because he’s a speaker on the morning lecture at a private television station. In the speech, Ahmad Al Habsi said Ahok was arrogant. According to him, Ahok’s vanity Ahok is not a reflection of the descendants of Adam.”

So Ahok’s not human!?!?! This ‘cleric’ actually likened Ahok’s ‘arrogance‘ to that of a ‘DEVIL.’

    —————————-
    ahok  =  devil destroyed
Ahok a DEVIL? -a deranged comparison!
    ===============================================

“And the arrogance of this Ahok should be fought with arrogance.”  http://metropolitan.inilah.com/read/detail/2152830/ahmad-al-habsi-yang-sombong-iblis-harus-dilawan

    ooooo

     Al Habsi

    oooo

Well, that’s about as extreme as it gets.

Ahok’s real offence, as some FPI leaders have admitted, is that he’s Christian. Most normal people, of all religions, will dismiss sectarian railing against the honest, plain-spoken Governor of Jakarta as totally deranged.

Yet this man is a given a regular spot on a major TV channel to spout his jihadism. Whose decision was that, to provide a platform for a fanatic to target millions?

We could dwell on devils, or at least diabolical behaviour.

Habib Rizieq, the IslamoNazi coordinator of the demo, did jail time for his role in the Monas Riot in 2008, and Rizieq’s FPI are notorious for sectarian thuggery all over Indonesia. Rizieq may not be a ‘devil,’ but he’s pretty bad news.

    ooooooooooooooooooooo

One might even ask how this Al Habsi sits down and works out how to measure the level of devilry in public figures.

    0oooooooo

    alubis Lubis

    0

Once he explains his method, ask him to apply it to the FPI’s then Secretary General, Lubis, who is on video record urging a demented rabble to ‘kill, kill, kill’ members of the peaceful Ahmadi religious minority… link here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7RLCXNdKF4 )  …an outburst of sectarian hate which doesn’t quite square with Al Habsi’s peroration, ‘We love peace.’

Clearly the tv channel managers who chose Al Habsi for their programme must be well aware of his outrageous outburst, but so far no  news of his dismissal.  So whoever runs the show must be judged to have found no fault with his rabid rant.

Al Habsi is not the only extremist who gets far more than his fair share of media time. We have covered Arifin Ilham before, That’s him, in the photo below, with Rizieq.

He’s never tried to hide his enthusiasm for the IslamoNazis.

Trans TV has often given pride of place to this extremist. He has also appeared on Metro TV.  https://rossrightangle.wordpress.com/2012/08/18/metro-tvs-hate-group-fan/

I know he’s still on Trans, but I don’t know if Metro has dumped him.  Whether either of those is the channel guilty of putting Al Habsi on to gladden viewers’ hearts, I can’t confirm, yet. I generally switch off when that kind of programme starts!

But maybe readers can tell me.

    ooo

    00

If major Indonesian media continue to harbour hate-preachers like Al Habsi and fans of thug gangs like Arifin, maybe businesses who want decent people to buy their products should be told to consider where ads are placed.

Readers only need to check out when the ugly face of fanaticism leers at them from the box, then note which companies’ advertisements pop up at that time of day.

Then email the head offices and suggest a review is in order. Perhaps Yenni Wahid could get something like this underway. She does, after all, quite rightly, want to keep the reputation of her creed untainted.

Again good when you show people all over the world what these ustadz are.
Hate preachers is the right words for what they are. And TV boss who pays them no different.
You should name others also because there are so many in Indonesia.

Go ahead and tell the truth like this, it is happy to read what the others do not publish.
We know where they are coming from, Yemen and Middle East who came to Indonesia many years ago and cannot become truly Indonesian.
They are still holding on to the bad Arab ways, even dressing like Arab not like Indonesian, I mean men too not just women. Look so stupid.
