But today I read of events in Washington DC, that make me wonder if, perhaps unknown ( one hopes!) to President Trump, there is an appeasement mentality in the American State Department akin to that of Mama Stasi Merkel in Berlin.

• Clearly, the sternest action is called for, at the very least expulsion of the Ambassador and all his goons, or, better still, a stepping up of military aid to the Kurdish freedom-fighters whom the regime in Ankara fears.

A German MP has called for an entry ban to Germany for Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan after 11 MPs including her were placed under police protection following death threats from Turkish nationalists.

A bit of sense, all the more so since it surprisingly comes from Sevim Dagdelen, of the Links ( Left ) Party.

But she and her colleagues need to wake  up to reality. She says “anyone in Turkey who calls for violence against members of the German parliament should get an entry ban”

Fair enough.

But what’s needed is for Germany to deport any Turk in Germany who makes similar calls. And that should mean all those phoney ‘Germans’ who have somehow got hold of German nationality status but who insult ‘their’ country by offering allegiance to another.

Turkish people who live in Germany stand up to protest the voting of So Called Armenian Genocide by Federal German Parliament on June 2… approximately 2 thousand Turkish citizens will join the demonstration, organized by Turkish-German Solidarity Platform.

If they are ‘Turkish citizens’ then they are guests in Germany, so have NO right to tell their host nation’s elected representatives how to vote on any issue whatsoever.

If they are German citizens of Turkish origin, then they should not be protesting on behalf of a foreign government against their own.
