Here’s all the details, from AFA.

Many of you remember when Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran was fired because of his religious views on marriage and homosexuality. In late 2014, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed handed a pink slip to Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran purely on the grounds of Cochran’s faith.

Reed’s complaint against Cochran is that he authored a book that upholds the biblical view of sexuality for his men’s Bible study. That book contradicts the homosexual agenda. After first giving Cochran a month-long suspension without pay in November, Reed announced he would be fired.

Before losing his job, however, Cochran was required to complete sensitivity training and was prohibited from distributing copies of his book Who Told You That You Were Naked? on city property.

In early 2015, the Alliance Defending Freedom sued the city of Atlanta on behalf of Mr. Cochran, and the case has made its way through the court system for the last two years. Today, we are excited and relieved to inform you that Chief Cochran received a victory in court.

According to the law firm representing Chief Cochran, “A federal district court ruled Wednesday that city of Atlanta rules which led to the termination of Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran are unconstitutional.

The court found that the city’s policies restricting non-work speech, like a book for Christian men that Cochran wrote, are too broad and allow city officials to unconstitutionally discriminate against views with which they disagree.”

Through our supporters, the American Family Association garnered over 75,000 signatures in support of Chief Cochran. • It was the first time I had prepared fried bananas on my own, shortage of visitors this week! –  and I thoroughly enjoyed both the snack and the first episode of Containment, which ended up with promising scenes of tumult and afright.

These are likely to escalate to bloody anarchy, but, while we must await developments, a few of the characters are already intriguing, not least the stroppy girl Jana (Christina Marie Moses) of whom the black hero Major Carnahan (David Gyasi) is understandably enamored.

Having praised one tawny beauty, my commitment to diversity obliges me to mention a blonde one, the rather Brunhilde-like Sabine Lommers (Claudia Black) who’s the Fed in charge of the lock-down. She comes across as a tough cookie, but no doubt her ice will melt as disaster intensifies.

Atlanta’s leftist Mayor fired the city’s Fire Chief, Kelvin Cochran, for expressing his religious views in a self-published book released last year.

• We covered this a while back but need to follow up by promoting this petition against the gaystapo witch-hunt.

They have no excuse, because Wan is no shrinking violet – he’s perfectly open about his sexual aberrations. Those voters who knew, yet still supported him on polling day, are the ones who deserve the scorn and contempt of decent citizens.

As for Cochran, he’s paying a hefty price for his principled onslaught on degenerates – a one-month suspension without pay – that means around FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!
