Dunkirk in Jakarta! If You Ain’t Seen It Yet, Go Today!

After a weekend marked more by inertia than anything else, I decided yesterday to go into town early and heed a powerful recommendation from somebody whose judgement I trust.

‘You’d love it,’ she had said!

And besides, Monday is a cheap ticket day at Jakarta cinemas.

So into Plaza Indonesia I wandered, and paid Rp.50,000 ( AUD $5) and soon found myself one of less than half a dozen people seated in the very comfortable cinema on the 6th floor of the fancy mall.

Dunkirk is one of the best movies I’ve seen in AGES!

I’m no expert in cinematography, but the filming of the aerial battle, as brave RAF pilots ( family connection for me there! ) endeavoured to save the British ships from German attack was captivating.

And the human stories, especially that of a father and son and their young friend on one little pleasure boat…

…engaged in the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of soldiers from a previously little-known town on the French shore, were moving beyond words.

Not least the final scenes, the British people’s heart-warming welcome to the rescued, some of whom had feared that they’d be ‘spat on in the streets’ for their failure to hold on in France…

    True Brits!

Cheered by crowds along the railway line!

Such a stark contrast to the prosecutions launched against splendid members of the UK armed services who shot our enemies in Ulster, and to the insults heaped on America’s Vietnam heroes on their return, after their betrayal by the college creeps and rotten media.

Yes, of course, the patriotism was a key part of its appeal for me, such a treat to have a ‘war movie’ untainted by the cess-pool politics of modern Hollywood’s ruling class!

But even just as a straightforward drama, from anyone’s perspective, it’s great.

    Go see it!

I will go and watch this film, Ross. You make it sound very exciting.
I remember how you were good at teaching English but also many history stories .

We went to see it at Gandaria last week. A first-class film but our little group had the theater almost to ourselves.
I hope your ‘review’ has more people go before it ‘s replaced by one of those stupid giant robot movies!

I will try your recommendation today, Pak Ross.
Tomorrow I will tell you if I enjoy Dunkirk.

I have just now come from the cinema and I saw Dunkirk.
You are so true about this film, Ross.
I do not know the story before but it was very spesial and interesting.
I was sad when it was finished but also happy too.
I understand why the British people must love to watch it.

Dunkirk Crimmigrants On the Run? Deploy Bounty-Hunters!

It would have been easy to pick a story with a headline reminding us of the criminal character of the illegals encamped at Dunkirk.

    • But of course most all of us are aware of their taste for uncivilised mayhem, so the fact that the arson was crimmigrant-initiated came as no surprise.

    • What’s more alarming is that Francois Hollande, in his lame-duck year, not only allowed the swine to move there despite his preposterous claim to have shifted the Calais Curs to defenceless French towns far away…

Tell Us, Hollande – How Will Such Savages Enrich French Rural Life!

.but seemingly has now allowed the savages to go on the run, when clearly police and armed forces should have been alerted to secure the scene and lock up every last one of the alien intruders, as soon as the blaze began.

As I wrote last month..French ‘Green’ Mayor- Don’t Be ‘Abrupt’ With Illegals! …they need to be corralled and deported.

But while that would have been a simple matter, if only Hollande had possessed the patriotic pluck for once to do the right thing, it’s now being reported that some 600 illegals are off the radar.

Some are believed to be hiding because they fear the authorities or because they fear rejoining a camp with rival gangs.

Hundreds of Migrants At Large After Fire Ravages French Camp

Actually, there’s little point in searching for them, if the only purpose is to get their parasitic snouts back into the largesse on offer.

But if there was an honest patriot in the Elsysee Palace, rather than a Mama Stasi marionette…

    • …would it not be a grand idea to offer a bounty to anyone who captures a crimmigrant and brings it back for detention?

    • I doubt it would need to be any more than a modest sum, for surely there are thousands of good French folk there who would happily hoist their hunting rifles and head out on their light spring/summer evenings or their days off work.

    • Yes, I know, just NOT a realistic plan for now…

    • … but later this year, with President Le Pen in power…?

President Trump could use something like this idea.
Give a new kind of federal deputy’s badge to trustworthy Americans in Sanctuary Cites, get them to bring in all the illegals they can find.
A lot of us would do it for no reward except the feel-good factor .

Calais Cleaned Up? So Who Snarled- ‘I’ll F—ing Kill You!’

Wasn’t it Mama Stasi Merkel’s French Poodle, President Francois Hollande, who was so very recently strutting his stuff, trying to take credit for cleansing Calais of its long-standing crimmigrant pollution problem, revelling in his heroic achievement…

..,for dumping loads of undesirable aliens on defenceless French communities with not a single local referendum to see if the citizens wanted the brutes.

Now, thanks to a septuagenarian pop star’s nightmarish ordeal, we know that the clear-out was largely cosmetic, or, more precisely, self-serving hogwash.

    • Tony Christie, whose big 1971 hit was Amarillo, was on his way home from Germany, with his wife and his band, in a trailer, when a gang of masked migrant savages attacked.

    • ‘I’ll f—ing kill you!’

    • ———-
    • Happily, Tony and the rest of the intended victims survived, though one of the guitarists was wounded.
    • You can read the whole story on the link.
    • But the key part is this –
    • The petrol station where the attack took place is close to Grande-Synthe migrant camp, which sits alongside the A16 motorway connecting Dunkirk and Calais.    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4022968/Amarillo-singer-Tony-Christie-wife-s-terror-hooded-migrants-armed-crowbars-ambush-tour-bus-Dunkirk-petrol-station.html

    • In other words, the barbarous beasts are still encamped in the vicinity, still prowling thereabouts, still terrorising innocent people? And what do we call those who terrorise?
    • ooooooooooo
    • They are terrorists.
    • ———–
    • It is high time that the new French Prime Minister, Cazeneuve, gave a clear order, not to clear out these phoney ‘refugees,’ but to shoot them down…

    shoot terrs

…as we suggested yet again a day or two ago!

    But he’s Hollande’s man.
