Well-Spotted! Leftist Lebron’s Lousy Grammar Nailed!

What a joy to read the first sentences of an article about the far-left Un-American LeBron James this week, not because it’s a good article, though it is, but because it confront’s the dreadful man’s dreadful grammar!

While it is likely that NBA superstar LeBron James meant to say “we couldn’t care less” about President Trump saying he refuses to watch the NBA due to the league becoming a relentless social justice spectacle. Nonetheless, James made it clear that the president’s attention to the games is not a concern for him.

LeBron James on Trump Refusing to Watch NBA Games: ‘We Could Care Less’

The BLM fanatic’s actual words –

    “We could care less!”

    – actually mean the opposite of what he presumably meant, that he is indifferent to the President’s views.

So good on the reporter who picked up on the grammatical lapse, which is very similar in kind to the double-negative usage, e.g.

    “I don’t know nothing!’

    – in which “don’t” and “nothing” cancel each other out, so that such an assertion means the very opposite of what the speaker likely intended to say.

    ‘What’s up, doc? You a beauty-school drop-out or what?’

    Well done!

Let’s hope the full stop (US English, period) after ‘spectacle’ is in fact a typo!

It should be a comma, otherwise that first sentence is NOT a sentence at all!

However, in the circumstances, I am ready to overlook an error on the part of someone I know nothing else about.

LeBron James, whose actions and words I have read and heard about altogether too much, does not, alas, merit inclusion in the scope of my forgiveness.

    Tlaib – Not Just A Foul-Mouth, But Ill-Educated Too!

Remember that source of verbal sewage, Representative Tlaib, who was no sooner elected than she commenced coughing out obscenity?

    Image result for rashid tlaib

‘Mother-F…..?’ What Kind Of ‘Mother?’ Foul-Mouthed Fanatic Disgraces Michigan!

Well, we keep learning more about her, and this week we learned that whoever taught her to speak English did a pretty poor job ot it.

Seems she showed up at the annual knees-up of the ‘National Association for the Advancement of Colored People…’

(which, by the way, I have to praise for their evident refusal to change their organisation’s name to accommodate the dimwit PC fashion whereby colored people are inanely described as ‘people of color’)

…and  – end of compliments – Ole Foul-Mouth spoke up to offer her encouragement for their infantile resolution calling for President Trump to be impeached.

…Tlaib promised attendees at the NAACP conference on Monday that she was “not going nowhere, not until I impeach this president.”

    …’Not Going Nowhere?’

Any educated person, of color or not, must surely know that a double-negative in a sentence completely reverses its meaning.

I spent years here in Indonesia making sure my students understood such basic lessons.

What, presumably, Turd-Mouth Tlaib was trying to say to the NAACP was –

    “I’m not going ANYWHERE!”

But thanks to her inadequate command of American English, which basically follows the same grammatical rules as British and Canadian and Australian English, she was saying the complete opposite of what she meant!

She was, by her use of such grotesquely skewed grammar, telling them that she was going ‘somewhere,’ until she impeaches POTUS!

    Like, where?

One shudders to imagine where that destination might be!

Perhaps back to wherever she took her elocution classes?

She is an embarrassment to her state. I’m glad I don’t live in Michigan.
We expect little in the way of decorum from politicians, much less than we used to.
Her slobby English? I have no time or interest in checking out what level of education she reached but it may not be ignorance to blame.
Bad grammar is known to be a characteristic of ‘rappers,’ who are mostly black. She might just have been showing off in front of her all-black NAACP audience.
      I would call it patronizing.

Tlaib’s substandard manners are nothing new.
See if you can take ten seconds to view the video talked about here.
I understand she has children and it’s them I feel sorry for.
      What a role model.

It used to be you would be pleased to have your congressman or woman come down your street and you would take your kids out to say hello.
Who would want to let their kids near this dirty-talking broad?

Grammar and ‘Gays!’ – Poor Old Jakarta Post!

I wonder why the Jakarta Post even continues in existence.

That headline of mine  – the word ‘poor’  – may indicate one of their problems, that of finance, since  they seem either unwilling or unable to afford editorial staff who can spot and remedy pathetic linguistic errors…

…which many high-schoolers here in Indonesia would recognise at once. It’s not surprising that whoever produced this inane article declines to put his or her name to it.

But the more you read of their latest nod to ‘pluralism…’ (and if you think the JP is genuinely pluralist, consider their owners’ record of book-burning –

    burning books

Grovelling Gramedia’s BookBurning Bonanza – Appeasing Fanatics

    • which the JP has never condemned!)

…the more the vacuous verbiage hits you in the eye, gobble-de-gook that would be more at home in San Francisco than Jakarta.

…patriarchal and heteronormative cultures are apparently the problem, which, translating into normal-speak as best one can, means recognition that guys are guys and gals are gals.

“…feminine men or vice versa are perceived as if they have violated the norms — either men’s norm because they appear not masculine enough or women’s norm because they shouldn’t be masculine..”   http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2016/03/14/poor-knowledge-leads-prolonged-discrimination-against-lgbt-people.html

Well, Hell and Damnation! Like any sane person, the average Indonesian thinks a ‘feminine man’ is a violation of ‘norms!

But the JP scribbler reckons that if some stubbly bloke goes mincing about town in a mini-skirt and make-up, those who take exception to such a grotesque sight are in need of a vaccination against ‘homophobia?’

    Gimme a break.

The pinko who wrote the article thinks the government should guard the ‘gays‘ against ‘discrimination.‘ In other words, if an employer interviews a pretty young lady  and the afore-mentioned stubbly queer for a job, and Stubbly has a uni degree and the lass has not much schooling at all, then Stubbly has to be hired?

    Gimme a break.

Of course businesses ( and bars!) should be free to accept or reject people on grounds of ‘sexual orientation.’ Not only bosses but other workers would be horrified if a trannie freak were hired and then proceeded to demand access to whichever staff toilet suited his pretend sexuality.

And make no mistake, that’s exactly what’s happening in Canada and the USA!

The gaystapo in the West has caused untold misery by its persecution of decent people who adhere to civilised standards.
