BAFTA TV Awards…If Viewers Had Votes, The Maitlis Would Lose!

I was horrified to see this ‘headline’ in The Times at the weekend.

Emily Maitlis, Romesh, Succession’s Brian Cox… Meet TV’s BAFTA Nominees

I recoiled, unwilling to read more about The Maitlis…

Sneer-Minx Maitlis – No Charm School Grad, She!

    .Image result for maitlis

    See the resemblance?

…of whom we’ve surely heard and seen enough in this summer of far-left BBC propaganda!

It’s proper to remind readers that we noticed the leftist vixen some three years ago, when Andrea Leadsom made a pertinent observation, viz.

“Of course it is very early days but it would help if broadcasters were willing to be a bit patriotic.”

Emily Maitlis responded with a display of instantly manufactured indignation…

…though of course she doesn’t have a clue what patriotism is.

You have to feel it before you can know what it means!

But that headline aroused my curiosity, as to who gets to decide these ‘honours!’

And rest assured, it ain’t you!

If you live in the UK, you get to have the BBC license fee extorted from your hard-earned cash, but the media in-crowd keep you out of any say in who gets the gongs, or the silly little statues that BAFTA hands out.

    With one exception!

The Must See Moment gong goes to an iconic snapshot of TV from the last year that got everyone talking.

And, last I heard, you can vote on that.

But the rest of the awards are decided by the BAFTA in-crowd!

    No democratic in-put.

So they aren’t worth more than a bucket of pig-sh-t…

…to which The Maitlis is certainly entitled, and to which she’s most welcome!

    Bollocks, Prince William! Stuff ‘Diversity!’

I try to avoid BAFTA and the Oscar awards, because the glitterati are a garbage class…

Screen Actors Guild – The Talking Brain-Dead?

…who use their pampered positions as a platform to spout left-liberal propaganda, but that BAFTA bunch today were on the news when I was watching and writing about real news…

…so I had to listen to some American with a Hispanic name gibber self-righteously about ‘people of colour’ by which he presumably meant ‘coloured people,’ and ‘systemic racism,’  etc.,etc.

Bad enough, but then The Man Who Will Be King popped up, basically saying the same stupid things, unwilling to let thespians rise or fall on their merits, demanding instead that ‘diversity’ be deliberately promoted!

    Prince George

Prince William has previously given cause for concern, when he appeared to say that if his son, Prince George, or George’s siblings, showed any symptoms of turning queer…

Prince William: It would be ‘absolutely fine by me’ if George …

..he’d be accepting of maladjusted manifestations, rather than promptly seek therapy to cure the little lad.

HRH seems determined to alienate the bed-rock monarchist base in Britain who hold to traditional values.

He must be made to realise that pandering to the decadent in-crowd will never turn them into royalists.

So let him stop turning off decent people, on whom his future realm surely depends.

It is a tragedy that William has completely gone over to the decadent side.
His mother has worked so hard to keep the monarchy above the ebb and flow of politics and now, between them, her two grandsons have alienated so many good people.
As you say, the rotten elements that root for ‘diversity’ would never vote for monarchy in a referendum.
How many of us can put our hands on our hearts and say we will, if it ever comes to that, and it very well might.

We who are loyal to the Crown find it sticks in the craw when the future king talks like some weedy little Hollywood lefty. The monarch, now or future, should be above political fads like ‘diversity.’
Maybe we should reinvent a Jacobite movement.

Revenant? Bear With Us! But That Traitor Trumbo Film?

As mentioned, I watched The Revenant this week, a good gripping yarn, the latest Leonardo Di Caprio adventure movie recording a badly injured man’s hazardous hunt for the man who murdered his son.

I can confirm that the cause of the star’s condition was indeed a very grizzly bear, which, however, did not rape him.

Di Caprio NOT Raped By Bear? Guardian’s Idea Of News!

No need for further details, just go see it, or buy the dvd like me and enjoy it at home.

Yet while BAFTA was right to give Leonardo his award, what on earth is this hogwash film ‘Trumbo’ all about?

I’ve covered something of the notorious Dalton Trumbo, a sleazy clandestine communist, before…

America’s Enemies Within – Then and Now!

…so rather than repeat all I said at the time, I give you an extract from an informed American report…

Trumbo supported Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and North Korea’s Kim Il-Sung. He condemned Martin Luther King, Jr., for not being a true revolutionary. Yet, he is depicted in the film as just a family-friendly socialist and defender of the First Amendment in the film…

Q: In what way does the movie hide or gloss over Trumbo’s Red record?

A: All of his heavy-duty propaganda and activities on behalf of the Soviet Union, Joseph Stalin and the Communist Party are omitted. So is his vigorous support of Lenin, Adolph Hitler (during the Hitler-Stalin pact) and North Korea’s Kim Il-sung after his aggressive attack against South Korea in 1950. Even his membership in the American CP, which he eventually bragged about, is ignored….

The villains in the movie, incidentally, are not the party members who worked covertly—and relentlessly—to turn Hollywood over to Moscow but the anti-Communist community who fought the Red conspiracy in the film industry—and won, at least for a time. Columnist Hedda Hopper, John Wayne, labor leader Roy Brewer, the House Un-American Activities Committee, the Motion Picture Alliance and other opponents of the Communists come in for a severe beating.

Q: You say he was a “Stalinist” and a member of the Communist Party, facts that you argue are fundamentally ignored by the movie. But how do we know he was a party member?

A: There is no question about his CP membership. In those famous 1947 hearings, the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) submitted material proving beyond a doubt that he was a party member, though Trumbo and nine other screenwriters and directors refused to respond to questions about party membership..

    .communism tyranny

….Trumbo finally admitted to his biographer, Bruce Cook, that he joined the party in 1943, and that “I might as well have been a Communist ten years earlier. But I’ve never regretted it. As a matter of fact, it’s possible to say I would have regretted not having done it…” Hollywood’s Despicable Hero Dalton Trumbo

The red rat went to jail all too briefly, for his arrogant refusal to come clean in the hearings.

But that was much less than he deserved. Now we have to watch ( if we’re masochists) movies making out he was a decent human being, which he damned well wasn’t.

Instead, he’s almost apotheosised and his cheer-leaders get a prize, posthumously, by proxy, some prejudiced pinko winning that BAFTA award for a film that white-washes subversion.
