Bigot Goon-Squad Bullies Vendor – Decent Indonesians Open Hearts AND Wallets!

No Ramadhan raids on eateries in Jakarta: Ahok –

So says the Jakarta Post, and I hope his assurance holds up. I’d be more reassured if the cops give an undertaking to use the guns they carry to deal with sectarian hoodlums who decide to run amok.

But the rest of the report is more interesting, both for the news it gives of a SatPol PP (civic militia) raid on a defenceless old lady in the nearby town of Serang last week.

    Her ‘crime?’

Mrs. Saeni had served customers at midday during the fasting month.

Serang, as noted, is near Jakarta but is actually located in the adjacent province of Banten.

Banten may not be as steeped in pig-ignorant fanaticism as Aceh or West Java, but that’s not saying a lot.

Shariah goon-squad, picking on Saeni’s food-stall Well done to Kompas.com for focusing on this

Serang Satpol PP personnel raided Saeni’s food stall based on a regulation prohibiting eateries from serving customers during the day throughout the fasting month.

The JP report then adds needlessly that Muslims are required to fast from dawn until dusk.

That’s between them and their God, not a bunch of bigoted local bigwigs who evidently see themselves as agents of Divine Wrath.

Here’s one of many YouTube links to the scenes.

Don’t know about you but it made me want to spit with fury.

Serang’s sort of evil intolerance is an insult to the declared spirit of Ramadhan, which is meant to be all about introspection and spiritual discipline.  I do sometimes wonder what God will say to these pusillanimous pea-brains when they arrive in search of their just reward for persecuting women like Saeni.

I can, of course, not know the answer to that, but I can speculate.

However, there’s a happy ending to the story.

Footage of the raid went viral on social media on Friday and led to a donation drive for Saeni, which had collected more than Rp 176 million (US$13,200) as of Sunday night.

CNN says it now amounts to Rp.265 million.

And President Jokowi himself has apparently sent in another Rp.10 million.

Just a pity he can’t order public floggings for the scum who reduced the poor little lady to tears.

So beautiful this story. I want to donate but it is now closed.
The SatPol are bad, I remember other story you write about SatPol in Banten, in Tangerang I think, poor woman drown because they were cruel.

Very good to have our president helping Ibu Saeni in Serang but better if he must arrest the SatPol who are guilty of this action.
I also watch the youtube little filming of them and how mean they are to her.
Also same for the Serang local goverment, they are disgrace to any faith.
      Punishment for them please.

Serang rule is doing harm to Ramadan same liek you say.
Fasting must be own choice of every person. If forced it is not fasting but forced hunger. Not same. Opposite. .

Satanic Shrine, Just an Hour’s Drive from My Garden Gate!

A chilling report in the JP, on how the grave of a satanic fiend is treated as a place of pilgrimage by superstitious savages.

“There have been unabated flows of visitors who come to see the grave and pray for Imam,” Imam’s younger sister, Mila Jamilah…

“Many take some of the soil and pocket the stones from Imam’s grave [for superstitious purposes]. We have to regularly pour new soil and stones at the grave site,” she said. –http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2015/03/31/bomber-s-grave-becomes-touchstone-extremists.html

This unholy ground is in Banten Province, in a place called Serang, already notorious as the scene of a mockery of justice, the trial of the Cikeusik Pogrom scum, six months each for their involvement in the martyrdom of three innocent Ahmadis in 2011.

Only a handful of the malignant mob which ran amok were even apprehended.

If I jumped on the angkot to Kebon Jeruk and hopped an intercity bus, I could be in Serang in maybe an hour – depending on traffic; were it other than a Sunday, it might take a bit longer.

It’s a little eerie to think that, from where I sunbathe in my small front yard, in a modest quiet complex in Indonesia’s capital, it’s only a matter of 60 minutes to such a sinister scene, where barbarians gather in adoration of a squalid swine.

    devil destroyed

One might have expected the Islamic ‘scholars’ of the MUI to have issued a fatwa forbidding this kind of devil-worship, but if they have, I’ve not heard of it being directed against this location.

I have many friends in Serang. The people who do this superstition are not Serang people, they come from other place all over Indonesia.
Most Indonesian people are good and feel horror about Imam Samodra.
      We hate terroris.
