Pavlensky was detained by police at the weekend, allegedly because of a fight he was involved in quite a while ago, in which, according to the ‘investigative site’ Mediapart, ‘two people were injured.’

Whether one should take Mediapart reports seriously is of course moot.

They had the Merchant Banker video and sat on it, quite disgracefully…

…until Griveaux said he was quitting as candidate!

However, it seems the cops grabbed the Russian for that alleged offence, but NOT for the video.

Very strange timing, especially since the French authorities also took down the site on which the video was viewable.

Seems to me to be dirty tricks, maybe because there’s a despicable ‘tradition’ in France of media allowing politicians to get up to no good with impunity.
