Through an official statement issued on its website, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) issued a stern warning to 11 television stations that aired Blackpink Shopee ads and the “Shopee Road to 12.12 Birthday Sale” event.

…
And that’s another lurch into desolation, surely, arguably made worse if the claim is true that the KPI’s kill-joy commissars are not merely succumbing to pressure from backward petitioners against the delightful and not remotely offensive advert..
..

…but were ALREADY fretting over ‘respect for politeness norms stipulated in the Broadcasting Broadcasting Code and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS) Guidelines.’
Like, uh, what is IMPOLITE about those attractive, well-dressed girls?
Answer- nothing at all!
But now no less than eleven tv stations have been warned against the thigh menace…
.

Shock Horror – it’s a thigh!
==

OMG! Another thigh!
….
…and threatened with ‘sanctions’
KPI commissioner Dewi Setyarini denied that her wet-blanket comrades had simply buckled to the wowsers.

Dewi Setyarini
..
She insisted that the KPI team had submitted a complaint about the advertisement, long before the petition appeared demanding the removal of the advertisement.
“We were actually discussing it last week (the advertisement),
How that ad offends ‘politeness’ is nowhere explained, but the Indonesian word ‘kesopanan’ can also be translated as ‘decency…’
….so we have to ask once more –
WHAT is ‘indecent’ about short skirts?
Except in the narrow minds of fanatics, of whom, sadly, there are a lot here, like those sad people who present shariah costume as ‘Modest Fashion…’
….a form of words grossly offensive to the millons of normal, polite, decent women who dress modestly every day but do not get their knickers in a twist about allowing us guys a glance at a nice knee…

…a spot of cleavage, a shapely thigh or even a sexy shoulder!
Who can forget the bizarre outburst from Suryadharma Ali, when he was President SBY’s Minister of Religious Affairs…
.The Beat, Jakarta, 29th March 2012 – Indonesia’s powerful Religious Affairs minister, Suryadharma Ali, has declared that miniskirts are pornographic and should be banned under tough new anti-porn laws.

Appointed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono earlier this month to run the new task force into pornography, Ali told reporters in Jakarta yesterday that a set of universal criteria must be decided. He added that, “one criteria will be when anyone is wearing a skirt above the knee.”
One might have hoped that when he was jailed for graft…
…we’d hear no more such tripe, but…
###########
NB – although the sticky-beak moaners have amassed over 100,000 signatures for their anti-beauty moan, the pro-beauty petition has also been gathering more support, I’m told not far off 80,000 names.

So there’s still hope for Indonesia’s future.

My friends and me talk and laugh at this, how can anyone say Jenny is not nice to look at.
Crazy fanatic men do not like women. It will not matter the women dress in ugly clothes or pretty like Jenny, fanatic men still want to be big boss.
We should be free to show everything Jenny is showing. Men do not like women then no need look at women.
