I refer of course to the bizarre situation whereby citizens of Eire resident in the United Kingdom are being allowed to participate in this historic decision while so many Brits are excluded.

We have reported on the cantankerous carping in Dublin, their Prime Minister constantly voicing opposition to Brexit.  And he’s been at it again this week. Brexit ‘most critical decision’ of last 50 years: Kenny

If Kenny and Co. were only motivated by economic anxiety, I would be less incandescent at their arrogant intrusion into British domestic affairs. Prime Ministers in most countries (except the one in Downing Street! )….

…may be expected to put their own citizens’ perceived advantage before that of others.

But of course  there’s a lot more to it than that.

Like his hugger in the photo above, the Sinn Fein/IRA blood beast Adams, Kenny and the rest of the Eire establishment have never abandoned their indefensible imperialist aspirations to bring British Ulster under Dublin rule.

And accordingly, any move hindering that atavistic goal is anathema to all of them.

The prospect of a return to border controls between Northern Ireland and the Republic as a result of a Brexit is both “repulsive and upsetting…”
