Penny Lane – Will Beatles Now Be Forced To Grovel?

Road signs on Penny Lane in Liverpool have been defaced over claims they are linked to slave merchant James Penny.

The markers had the word Penny blacked out and the word racist written above them..

A tour guide says that in fact the claim is ‘pure ignorance!’

    Who cares, for pity’s sakes?

All credit to the local resident who described the vandalism as “an idiotic act”.

“If you want something removed, there’s ways and means,” he said. “Defacing Penny Lane signs isn’t going to change a lot [and] it’s the wrong way to go about things.”

    Well said!

Uptights and BLM trouble-makers should be prosecuted if caught vandalising public property, but we don’t know if Liverpool top cops are as gutless as those in Bristol…

    .

    ..

…who stood down, tailor’s dummies while criminal damage took place under their noses.

I hear the Home Secretary scolded the constabulary clown there, but he was soon back in the news, insubordinate, boasting of how he didn’t want to upset the BLM rabble.

    That turd needs flushed.

But will the surviving Beatles now go into grovel-mode?

Why didn’t the mop-headed young lads think ahead…

    The Beatles

    .

….and foresee that in 1970 that fifty years later the country would be held in thrall by malcontents and fanatics?

    PS

You may think I’m jesting, but in America a band called Lady Antebellum has changed its name to Lady A, because ‘antebellum’ refers to the gracious and graceful styles of the Old South, and we mustn’t vex diddums, must we?

I always used to think the Beatles might have named rhe song after me! Just kidding!
I see a lot of the BLM mob are white extreme leftwingers.
I would say that must be school brainwash.
As for the non-whites, their parents or grandparents chose to migrate to Britain and must have known they were coming to a country with a proud history.
      Their kids should remember that.

I am so sick of their noise and carry-on, it is sickening, the self-pity they drape around themselves.
That complaint we always hear, how so many are in prison.
Why is that? Because they commit so many crimes.
Is it too much to ask that they obey the law?
Stupid of me to ask after all their demonstrations last week.
Even when it risks infection from the virus, breaking the law is in their DNA.

C’mon, Brits In Bristol! Fire Superintendent Slug!

As one of my commenters noted, Bristol’s very own Clouseau-Clod, the pusillanimous plod Superintendent  Andrew Bennett, shamed himself and his entire police force yesterday, with his defence of the…

    …what can we call it?

    .

Bristol Buffoon Bennett – hope that’s his resignation letter!

    ….

We can hardly define his ‘strategy’ as ‘law enforcement’ when his officers were ordered to let uppity hooligans run amok with impunity…

    .

…so let’s just describe his approach as a shoddy shambles, witnessed on tv by millions.

When we think of the many brave British cops wounded and killed in times past, like PC Keith Blakelock…

    .

I then lived in London, not so far from the scenes of mayhem which claimed the life of PC Blakelock. PC Keith Blakelock: Murder trial told armed mob killed officer – BBC …https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-26423811

    …brutally murdered by scum…

( who were no doubt vexed by the non-existent ‘institutional racism…’

….we can only rue the day that politically correct policing was imposed by degenerate politicians.

    It was always wrong!

Now, with that Bristol Buffoon boasting of his abdication of duty  – for fear there might have been ‘confrontation’ with the criminal rabble…

    .

-are police not paid to confront criminal activity?-

…and bragging of his blatant issue of carte-blanche to  BLM desperadoes, we are seeing its purpose begin to be exposed…

    ..the subversion of civilised society.

If there are any real Brits in Bristol, they should be petitioning their local Police Commissioner ( probably a waste of time, admittedly! ) but also the Home Secretary, Priti Patel…

    .

    .

…demanding the dismissal of that pathetic plod – and no rights to any police pension, either.

That should be a right reserved for police officers who ACT to STOP crime…

….rather than observe it as interested on-lookers!

PS On reflection, I may have caused offence…to fans of Inspector Clouseau – if so, my apologies!

      Excellent!
Even as recently as the Blakelock murder, police in Britain understood they were up against a very real threat, not only to themselves but to the stability of the country.
With so many senior offers now of the same weak calibrr as Bennett, no wonder mobs like BLM feel free to break any laws that don’t suit their agenda.
I heard Priti Patel and she knows what needs to be done, but it seems to me that a number of rogue senior police are just ignoring her.
Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘The Revolt Against Civilisation?’
      We are watching it.
The Armed Forces are our last best hope.

They have been PC-ing the armed forces for some time, Petra.
It must be touch and go if we could count on their top brass in a crisis.

Bennett would be a competent social worker, possibly.
I found his ‘I-know-best’ manner very off-putting, when he does not even know that a policeman’s job is to arrest criminals caught in the act.
Or did he order his constables to close their eyes while criminal damage was done in a public square?

Yes, Jen, and I just saw some of them, on tv, a small but gallant band who came to the harbour hoping to bring the statue out and replace it on the plinth.

Yes, Defund The Police! The Gutless Bristol Police!

Just watched the BBC news, a mob of BLM louts and loutesses, amok, hauling down a statue, in the British city of Bristol, dragging it along the streets and rolling it into the river.

    .

Protesters throw the statue into Bristol harbour
     Louts in Bristol

    L..

BBC inevitably had a scruffy male professor to justify the removal on the grounds it was a statue of a slave-trader.

Then they had another one, a black female, just as bad, though not scruffy. The statue, she insisted, was of a very unacceptable man.

    Big deal!

No matter it’s a statue of Old Nick!

The street-scum in Bristol have NO right to break the law.

The local constabulary should have truncheoned them down and then arrested them.

    Why did they not?

Priti Patel was on TV telling us how bad it was.

    Priti Patel Minister.jpg

    Priti Patel

    .

And so too the law-breaking as regards ‘virus-crisis’ rules!

Yes, ma’am, but what are you doing about it?

If any city or county chief constable declines to order his officers to keep order…

…defund that constabulary, dismiss the fool, and use the armed forces until more effective law enforcement commanders can be recruited.

A BBC reporter was just on confirming the police had admitted they lack the bollocks to do their job…

…afraid enforcing the mask/distance rules on the rabble might create ‘public disorder!’

Public disorder is what Britain’s now got, because of their cowardice!

I am horrified at the complete failure of the police and the government to bring the mob to order.
The Bristol Police were on tv, as you say completely cowardly.
      Fire them all.

Honest British people can no longer trust the police to uphold the law.
I am glad I do not live in Bristol or in London, two cities where the police will only enforce law and order if it doesn’t upset ruffians.
Cowardice! Police can be equipped with fire-arms if it is necessary and that time has come.
If the police won’t do their duty, then we should be allowed to do what Americans have the right to, I mean to keep and bear arms.

Did you see that Bristol Superintendent on the news?
What an apology for a real cop he is, making feeble excuses for his cowardly performance.

What makes it worse is that it was not a heat-of-the-moment act of vandalism.
The rabble included a special team with wrecking equipment.
They MUST be identified and prosecuted, although if Bristol courts are as abysmal as Bristol Police, that may be a waste of time too.
