This amazing ruling comes from the Saskatchewan Party, which runs the province of the same name, once a stronghold of the CCF socialists but now allegedly in more sensible hands – really?

I understand that puritanical folk dislike the very idea of striptease dancing – my grandmother’s generation would have regarded such activity as a one-way ticket to ‘Hell and Damnation,’ a phrase she sometimes used when riled then looked around to make sure my tiny self hadn’t heard her.

But most people don’t think like that these days.

If shapely wenches are happy to earn a decent wage by removing their clothing some place where only a willing audience gets to see their appealing attributes, why not? It‘s a heck of a lot more civilised than what happens in Ontario, where revolting queers prance naked on the public highway in Toronto’s disgusting ‘Pride’ parade.

As for those Sask citizens who cling to Grandma’s view, they are unlikely to applaud this ‘anti-stripping’ measure. Either it’s immoral behaviour or it’s not. The fact that proceeds may go to good causes makes no difference.
