Cannes Fest's "Young Ahmed?" A Movie About A REAL Monster!

Can’t imagine I’d ever have an urge to attend that Cannes Film Festival, except maybe to admire all the cleavage etc. displayed by many actresses, some of whom  need thereby to make up for their inadequate thespian talents.

    Related image

Cannes 2015- Miranda Kerr, so far as I hear, is quite a good actress.

Imagine the lengths bad actresses go to!-

However, France 24 gushed and gushed and I felt obliged to ungush!

    Or perhaps disgush?

So I spent a little while checking up, first on their fave film, Atlantique.

F24 said it was a film about ‘young migrants and sexual politics’ whatever the latter might be. Maybe the lack of political response in Europe to the fake ‘refugees’ who turn out to be sex predators?

    Not a chance!

Criticising crimmigrants is never going to win prizes among the pseuds gathered on the riviera.

Seems Mati Diop, the Franco-Senegalese whose creation it is,  got her award for a ghost story.

So maybe it’s worth buying a ticket after all.

Though for my part, John Wick 3 sounds more fun!

    But how about ‘Young Ahmed?’

    It’s a Belgian film.

Image result for young ahmed film

Going over various reviews, I found that it’s about one of those obnoxious sh-tlets who won’t shake hands with women.

Won’t Shake Hands? Send ‘Em Back!

We have covered such rude rats previously.

The cheeky toe-rag also scolds his mum for enjoying a drink!

A sound thrashing sounds in order, but is not forthcoming.

Although much of the blame belongs to a pig-ignorant imam, who shouldn’t, like many so-called ‘clerics,’ be allowed in Belgium, or France, or any civilised land, it’s hard to see how even Cannes klutzes might feel sympathy for the adolescent freak.

’Young Ahmed’ – as you may see from the poster, is played by an angelic looking lad, so satanic that he even tries to murder his kindly and conscientious Muslim teacher – yeah, the one whose ‘haram’ hand he won’t shake!

Her apparent offence, apart of course from being a woman in the presence of a jihadist young skunk, is that she ‘wants her other students to learn Arabic from other sources than the Quran…https://variety.com/2019/film/reviews/young-ahmed-review-le-jeune-ahmed-1203220931/

Nasty Ahmed spends a while in detention, but any ‘deradicalisation’ there evidently doesn’t work very well.

I doubt the Cannes audience share my view…

…that his sort should be put down like rabid dogs, but who knows?

I will say no more, and since it’s in French, there’s no chance I’ll ever see it. The Variety reviewer quite properly keeps us in the dark about the ending anyway.

Sorry, mate, I like the photo at the top but if I am never going to watch the film, I never read much more than the next few sentences.

I don’t speak French either but I would like to know what happens at the end.
Belgians have a lot to put up with, so many illegals and terrorists.
I hope its ending is not soppy stuff about redemption but if it was a hit with the Cannes crowd then it probably is.

      Miranda Kerr, eh?
I must visit your blog more often.
Maybe I should visit Cannes too.

      Two new words today?
I like them, Ross. They sound strange but a lot more melodious than those idiotic leftwing new words ‘woke’ or that stupid ‘Latinx’ you wrote about before.

Creeps – “Good Acting” Not Enough To Earn Acting Award!

When you think about old film stars endowed with fine acting skills but notorious for vile views, I’d have thought Hanoi Jane Fonda would be a timeless example.

    hanoi jane

Her traitorous posturing, which undoubtedly gave aid and comfort to the evil Communist regime…

…during the Vietnam War was and remains unforgivable.

Yet she’s not been told she’s ‘persona non grata’ nor denied tributes for her thespian talents.

She’s been getting honours year after year, instead of the leper status she deserves!

However, look what’s happening in France!

Alain Delon, a giant of the screen in the Sixties, French, of course..

….has been subjected to a barrage of abuse by (mostly American) pinko creeps because he has expressed opinions that upset them.

What verbal sins has Delon committed?

He has apparently expressed sympathy woth Marine Le Pen’s patriot party…

…and shown sensible concern about the problems caused by undesirable immigrants and  – shock horror – objected to ‘homo adoption!’

Millions in France, and the USA share his views on the migrant menace and the demerits of consigning kids to the care and control of sexual aberrants….

…but that obviously doesn’t matter if such a nightmare scenario is acceptable to Pinko Creeps.

What is simply INCREDIBLE is the bare-faced admission by said PC intolerants that acting talent is not, nor should be, what an acting award is about!

….some feminists and #MeToo activists’ have declared that “no amount of good acting can neutralise such a close-minded vision of the world. There is no place in such an important event for racists, sexists and homophobes.”

Why should an acting award not depend on acting ability rather than ideology?

One left fanatic drops the mask and justifies her rage with words that are unequivocally racist and sexist.

“Carole Raphaelle Davis, the co-founder of #MeToo France, told the Daily Beast. “Cannes should ditch the old white guy syndrome…”

Not just racist and sexist, but AGE-ist too!

    • Keith Milner 13:15 on May 16, 2019 Permalink | Reply

I never heard of him but before my time.
No worries, he still shouldnt have to put up with PC crap like that.
I have heard of Jane Fonda. She should have been put on trial for treason.

My mother told me Alain Delon was “ tres cool! “
The far left are so petty and childish.
The talent of Delon are not important?
Talents are of no importance to them because they have so few.

Good to see an Indonesian film win plaudits at Cannes.

It’s not the first time we’ve been able to report that local talent achieved distinction. Prenjak in Cannes! Congratulations, Wrega from Jogja!

Although it would be unfair to say there are no visually pleasing experiences available…

… – as above! – I tend not to dwell on the Cannes Film Festival.

It comes across as largely an exercise in narcissism, seedy self-regard, a bunch of ‘intellectuals,’ whatever that means, telling each other how clever they are!

It’s all the more off-putting when, without actually saying so, they let us know how much better they are at appreciating movies than we normal folks.

Fact is, without us normals, there would be no film industry  ( it’s us commoners who pay to go to the movies, after all) except insofar as the cinematic in-crowd can rely on their cronies in the political in-crowd to rip tax-payers off…

…by splurging millions from the public purse in subsidies to help ding-bats produce movies most people wouldn’t cross the road to watch.

When was the last time that really enjoyable films, like the good old Die Hard series, walked away with the Cannes trophies?

As for film critics, they should all be told to take a hike and find useful work as public toilet attendants or street-cleaners.

Their opinions are worthless, neither more nor less a useful guide to what to watch than yours, dear reader, or mine.

That leftist witch Lisa Nesselson, for example, infamously uses her well-paid position on France 24 to make snide, politically partisan attacks on anyone who offends her pinko prejudices.

As remarked at the top of our page, an Indonesian film has had complimentary reviews over there on The Riviera.

The beautiful Marsha Timothy plays Marlina, but I suspect she will be vastly deglamorised in the bucolic role assigned to her.

Nevertheless, I will have a look for it in my usual discount DVD haunts.

Indonesia does produce some good films – and would probably do a lot better were it not for the outlandish state censorship regime, which even outlawed ‘Noah,’ for pity’s sakes…

Har-Har-Har! Pinko Penn, Panned in Cannes!

While most of my attention this weekend is rivetted on Vienna, where the forces of demophobia are facing what I hope will be a huge defeat by the Freedom Party’s Herr Hofer…

More Good Reasons For Austrians to VOTE HOFER

…nevertheless there’s time for light relief, belly-laughs, in fact, at the humiliation of that rancid red rat Sean Penn.

The Cannes Film Festival is not an edifying spectacle, save for some yummies who appear for no obvious reason except my enjoyment…

This particular yummy is Bella Hadid, of whom I’ve never heard but who’d be a welcome caller next time I need some ironing done!

…and that of thousands of other viewers!

Many of the so-called glitterati – brain-dead ‘stars’ of dubious theatrical quality who imagine their fame qualifies them to expound on matters of which the average toilet attendant is wiser than they – are simply off-putting.

Y’know, yappers like that mouthy git Clooney and Angelina Jolie…

The festival teems with trendy lefty loons.

But despite such a favourable environment, the repulsive comsymp demophobe Sean Penn – you’ll know the name, which has appeared here before, more than once…

Pig-Ignorant Penn Gets Headlines, Honest Author Gets Fired

Dissent? Pinko Penn Plumps for Soviet Solution!

Exclusion Order for Pinko Penn, Enemy of Self-Determination?

…has taken a splendid verbal thrashing – or even trashing – for his film ‘The Last Face.’

Ironically, given Penn’s extreme left blathering over the years, his ‘work of art’ has been denounced for perceived ‘racism!’

I was masochistically watching France24 last night, and some of the criticisms their media correspondent quoted made me laugh aloud!

    ‘an aphrodisiac for white people..’

    ‘ a little bit racist..”

The same media gal actually suggested somebody would coin a headline very similar to that with which I adorned this post, so ‘merci beaucoup!’

Seems our rabid red made a film about Africa with hardly any black actors!

No excuses! It was not the case with ‘Zulu….’

…a great action movie I enjoyed fifty years ago.

Nor even with that quite recent movie starring Comrade Angelina’s husband, Brad…

Poor Penn! It must be quite a challenge to find a line-up of starring roles almost all non-black in a movie set in The Dark Continent!

Mind you, I’ve always thought Penn’s occasional ‘anti-racist’ rants were tinged with hypocrisy.

“I was brought up in a country that relished fear-based religion, corrupt government and an entire white population living on stolen property that they murdered for and that is passed on from generation to generation.”  Why the Left Hates America: Exposing the Lies…

This from the multi-millionaire owner of a mansion in Malibu, among other pleasant property so far unrestored to the Red Indian ‘owners.’

So today let’s enjoy this subversive swine’s discomfiture…it’s the weekend, after all!

I just looked at the fat slob’s own website and its boasting about him being an ‘award-winning’ move maker, when we all know its awards given by his own leftwinger fan-club.
I hate these millionaires who pretend to be on the side of the down-trodden. When they pack their mansions with a hundred illegals in each fancy property, I might think again.
