‘Boy A’ – Time For Decent Criminals To Act?
I tend not to read the Mirror in my daily scouring of the media for news worth deploring, but one reader sent me this, a report on how, in an English city, a filthy savage aged 14 wantonly murdered a 12-year-old girl.
.
.

….
The grim details you may read via the lnk appended below.
Thanks to the UK having gutless MPs who won’t restore capital punishment, the maximum sentence for any crime, however atrocious, is life imprisonment.
So sadly the pig won’t be heading to an abattoir.
Yet, ludicrously, the judge, having handed down the appropriate life sentence, then stipulated a mere 13 years as the minimum time the dirty swine must be kept behind bars.
.
.
Life should mean LIFE!
And there’s more distressing detail.
Ava’s mother described her anguish claiming she has “nothing to live for” as she pleaded with Justice Amanda Yip to publicly name her daughter’s killer.
But Justice Yip ruled against lifting reporting restrictions on the murderer’s identity after his defence claimed he had already been “subject to threats” in custody.
..
‘Threats?’
I don’t wonder.
Obviously the presence of the vile brute, absurdly referred to in court as ‘Boy A’ – more of this hogwash stuff about treating vicious vermin as ‘children’ – will evoke loathing wherever it might be placed.
.
.
It used to be said, usually in the context of child-killers, that when justice was not done formally, there was every reason to expect – hope? – that ‘decent criminals’ would do right by the victim.
Fingers crossed.
